Where have you been all my life? ;)
To answer your question, it's not an over-40 thing. It's an insecure guy thing. These guys weren't confident about their ability to satisfy you, so they took it out on you. Find a man who is a good lover and knows it, and revel in that glorious sexuality of yours with that enormously lucky fellow.

We older guys live with the reality that we no longer have the sexual stamina that we had when we were 19. So if a woman wants it more often than we do, then we may feel inadequate. Why is this a big deal? Well, it's the way society looks at us. Men are traditionally sex starved manly cavemen. Women play hard to get and often get "headaches". So when the roles are reversed, the man feels less like a man. I know it sounds silly, but the transition from "stud" to "older guy" can be rough. The humiliation turns to embarrassment, the embarrassment turns to anger, and anger turns to unfounded accusations of possible infidelity.
Does this mean that you have done anything wrong? Of course not. Does this mean that men are vulnerable and insecure? Well, aren't we all to some degree?
The solution to your situation depends on your man's personality. Most guys hate to talk about their mortality. My only recommendation is to try Cialis. It is truly a wonder drug.

Well the thing is, unless the guy is a work-out buff, and has rippin' ABS, then he's probably pushing the threshold doing it more than once in a short time period. And if that's the case and if you show an overwhelming desire to do it again and again, then it works on his self-conscience: he's going to think that he can't satify you and you'll go out looking for someone who would.
It's a no-win situation for you and and him. He wants to try his hardest to please you, you want more. The bottom line is, if this does sound right to you, then maybe you should back off on wanting more or at least expressing too often. Perhaps using toys in the place of actually doing it, or leading up to doing it may help prolong this for the both of you.
Just becareful, sounds like you really love him, and I'm betting dollars to donuts he's really trying to please you.

Don't listen to these morons telling to find a younger guy, or it ain't a 40 thing. Do what's in your heart.

I have a woman in my life that is too much for me to keep up with so we are looking into polyfidelity....not the only reason but its one.. I work allot and she has TONS of energy.. there is desire, but just no time or energy left.. . check it out..

Tough question Lady. Men do suffer from insecurities regarding performance in bed. Their ego gets hurt if they feel they have not been up to the mark. Find younger men who are more confident of their performance.

From a chick's POV, I've not heard or heard of that one (excuse) before...will be interesting to hear what other guys say...
My guess is that you were just being fed BS...they decided to move on, and feel like they needed an excuse to do so that would make you look bad...
