you cant lighten it with more dye, you gotta get rid of this dye first by getting it stripped in a salon. it is going to really damage your hair. the only other way is to wait for it to grow out,

You can buy a product called a color stripper at hair and beauty care places, and that will take some of the color out. Salons do it too, but generally, other than bleaching and stripping, there are no other ways to get black dye out. I think stripping is somewhat safe, but if you have easily damaged hair you may just have to wait for it to grow out.

You can't dye your hair brown after you dyed it black. The only way to get it brown again is if you bleach it. You can't dye a light color over a dark one.

In order to get dyed black hair back to brown you would have to go to a salon and get professionaly colored and it may include bleaching in order to remove the black pigment and toned down to the brown color of your choice.

You cant dye over black dye. You have to get the color stripped out . I suggest having a professional do it because when I did it at home , I had leopard spots where it didn't take . :/

Darlin', you better call a color specialist at your local salon now. Take it from me! I wound up with multicolored hair and it wasn't pretty! Best thing is to let it grow out and cut it off. Good luck

Leave it to the experts. Bleach is the only way. You can highlight your hair or streak it to lighten it up a bit.

Go to a professional salon and let them fix it. If you don't, and try to fix it yourself, you hair is only going to get more damaged, and it could start to fall out.
