Ok, I am printing up my wedding invite envelopes (I know tacky, only reasonably priced choice concidering our handwriting) and I am inviting a woman from work and her husband. Now, normally I would address it as Mr and Mrs Smith BUT she kept her maiden name, both names are long and won't fit on the envelope without the font being very small. Should I still address it to Mr and Mrs. Smith or should I just use the small font and get both their names in? While waiting for answers I am going to fiddle around with the program and see if I can make it so that they do fit. Thanks for helping me out!!!

That's a silly thing to be mad at. No, his name is Anthony, pretty straightforward spelling and his last name is a long polish name. Thanks for the advice though.

PLEASE don't make the mistake my sister did when helping me address my invitations and write Jane Smith and guest.
My sister and I didn't know you to spell someone's spouses first name and she wrote Jon Smith and guest. Oh that woman was mad at me. She held a grudge and made comments for years. Oh well.

I had the same problem when I was addressing my invites. I think I put one name on the first line and the second name on the second line, instead of smooshing them together or offending someone by using Mr. and Mrs. Smith, when technically they didn't have the same last name.

Even though your friend kept her maiden name, she is still Mrs. Jon Smith, so you should address the envelope as Mr. & Mrs. Jon Smith. My friend and his wife are both doctors and when I address to them I asked how they prefer to be addressed and she said that she was fine with Dr. & Mrs. Jon Smith (even though she kept her name for professional reasons).
