A B-2 visa holder may invest in the US but may not operate or manage the enterprise.
A B-1 visa holder may set up a firm and help it get started in anctipation of changing that visa to an E-1 or E-2 (treaty trader or treaty investor) once it meets the minimum activity requirements. Only citizens of countries with a Commercial (Friendship, Commerce and Navigation) Treaty with the US are eligible for those. An L-1 visa for an intracompany transfer involves a professional who has already been employed abroad by the same firm.
Tourists (B2 visa holders) occasionally are discovered working. Since the USA PATRIOT Act, such out-of-status situations are taken very seriously and may lead to arrest, deportation and ineligibility for re-entry for ten years.
If you wish to invest, as you are permitted to, you should be careful to document your time, and show that management and operating supervision is undertaken only by persons legally able to work and that your sole concern was the value and security of your investment. If you have been documented as a B-1 in anticipation of a later E visa, make sure you have a proper business plan, etc.

Andy you're in part suited. A holder of a B2 visa can b allowed as a lot as a max of 6 months in any calender 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. even as leaving the US the I94 is surrendered. the holder of the B2 visa might want to stay out of the US for a min of 30 days. this does no longer say the holder of the B2 visa can go away the US and bypass to the encompassing international places and island eg. Canada, mexico, and the islands merely below the US. in case your pal go away after 6 months and bypass to Canada and stay for some months even as certainly Canada isn't her abode us of a, she might want to have many inquiries to respond to even as returning to the US. merely be careful because the final analysis right that's that the immigration officials in uncomplicated words opt to entice close your are literally not making use of a visa for causes no longer stipulated for its use. good luck

If you find an employer that will hire you full-time and willing to sponsor you or if you get married there and get a residence permit.
The only way to work with B2 Visa is to work "under the table" meaning don't declare it don't pay tax.
