i asked a question but then deleted it because of a really rude answer.?

Question

why do people have to be so horribly mean? i think now i know why i wanted to only stick with answering questions, so that i wouldn't get stupid immature people answering mine. thanks to those who gave their honest opinions and were nice about it.

i asked a question about two baby names and put what my children's names were and the person said that i gave my children the worst names and that one of them sounded like a strippers name and then said that i am overshadowing my child's occupation....now as a mother i find that to be very offensive and hurtful and the fact that i am pregnant right now doesn't help...i love my children and don't want anyone to disrepect them and i will protect them and defend them until the day that i take my last breath!!!

thank you to everyone that posted nice comments....i do feel a lot better now....i guess i was just shocked....i have never had to deal with anyone putting down my children in anyway and on top of that they are only 4 and 1.....i will try to ignore those who are so ignorant and immature on here next time or i will just stick with answering questions.

I feel so sorry for you, honey. You sound like a wonderful young woman who loves her family and children. Ignore the ignorant is the best that I can tell you. This is an open forum, which is good in many ways as it can give you a wide choice of opinions. It can also be bad, because there are going to be many people who are just mean spirited and rude and just use this as a dumping ground for their own mental imbalance. I have reported a lot of things on here that I consider rude and socially unacceptable. I have only asked a couple of questions since I have been on this forum, but that is because I enjoy answering and trying to help people out. I am sorry I did not see your original question or I would have given you a nice response. Have a good night.

I've only been doing this about a week & what you've said is one of the main reasons I haven't asked any questions yet. Of course, the other main reason is that I haven't thought of anything I want to ask. lol

I'm wondering now what your question was, & if you'll repost it, I'd be happy to answer....*if* I have a decent answer, and *if* I could find it.

Hang in there & know that there are all kinds of people out here. Wade through the crap & look for the diamonds in the rough. Take the good and leave the bad, & value yourself and your opinions no matter what. Trust your instincts & you'll not go wrong.

I think that some people don't have respect for others there for they allow themself to be total assholes.. It is the way they are raised and then sometimes it is just there sick way of being. I am sorry that you got a rude and uncalled for answer. I know it was not me because i was raise to say something nice or nothing at ALL. Some people don't understand the meaning of that phrase. I have read many answers that are just way out of the blue uncalled for, and I think those people can all go to hell! I believe in giving my opinon good or bad but not in a way that will bring you down! Well girl don't let the mean disrespectful people stop you from asking what you want... AND if you want ask me personally at [e-mail]! good luck and stick it out!

I'm sorry people are rude to you but I guess in a forum like this you have to take the bad to get to the good, unfortunately it seems there are more rude people than nice ones.

I agree with others, it would be nice if Yahoo! Answers personnel would police the answers and deny those that can't be civil towards others. In my estimation it goes against the guidelines the way some of these people answer others.

Don't give up on the good ones, there are some of us around.

Every time I ask a question I get a rude or mean spirited answer from someone. At first I was a little upset but then I realized that those people are insecure and probably hate themselves, so they need to make others feel the same way. It's a sad state of mind, I'm sure,

I know what you mean. It happens to all who ask questions. Most of the time I don't even finish reading there response, I just ignore them and move on to the next answer. Give it another try. If you ask a question before the kids get out of school, you can get some mature answers. :)

I'm really sorry about that. I know that some people don't have any resept for anyone and think that everything is a joke in their life. But don't worry about people who post stupid answers. I think you should be able to delete answers that you don't like, or are rude and in considerite. Plus two some people just answer the questions for the points and they don't put anything except "mfdngjf" stuff like that.

If the answer was horribly rude and mean spirited you should report them to Yahoo ... there are young people on this site who should not be subjected to certain behavior if you know what I mean. Just be sure that it wasn't someone just trying to amuse you... I know you may be looking for a serious answer to your question and hopefully someone here can provide you with that... but sometime a good laugh can help too.

you know what people are rude on a certain web site they had a Tribute to an English soccer player Miklos Feher who had passed away during play and some people had posted dumb things like ha he pooped (other word for it) his pants and serves him right for playing soccer and not a mans game i wish people had better morales than they do that was a very sad moment to watch a mans life vanish before your eyes and his family were mourning it when people were being rude sorry this is long i just think the same thing you do

Why let some one you don't know influence your life. Maybe they don't have a life or any friends. You should feel sorry for these people. This site is for anyone so keep asking your questions. Like the old adage says there are no stupid questions!!
