This old question again.... Because he didn't, doesn't exist!!!

There is no Hell only the hell that we make for ourselves on this earth, no heaven other than what we create for ourselves here.

Adam and Eve may have been your progenitors (fat chance) but mine were a couple of complex proteins floating around in a thick gloppy sea, so in the fantasy world where your god actually exists, he would actually have no claim to my soul (partially because I don't have one).

As for sins??? I don't have a god, so I don't have rules that govern me therefore I can not sin, the best I can do is commit a crime, and even then I can debate whether it was actually a crime in the first place. So I truly am sin free, innocent and clean, so put that in your pipe and smoke it :)

And I'm afraid you are very much mistaken in you belief that "God he said it not me" god never said anything that you have ever read, what you are reading is a bunch of collected short stories written by some political malcontents over 100 years after your so called savior was claimed to be alive, and then translated by a bunch of Greeks to fit the world view that they then had. This is called a fantasy novel (and a pretty poor one at that) you might as well worship the elves and honor Bilbo and Frodo, at least that book has internal consistency. (Yes I'm aware of the religious analogy that the author was doing in that book, but that's not the point, the point is it's a made up story)

The point is that you believe in something because that is the way you was brought up, if you had been brought up on Maui you would possibly believe in the volcano god or some such nonsense, and if you current god is so loving why does he damn those to hell, when they had no chance of ever converting, because they never heard of him, there's an awful lot of cultures that have never heard of Christ over the last 2000 years, Christianity only became a global phenomena in the last few hundred years, so that is billions of peace loving people from all sorts of cultures damned to burn in hell for eternity, just because your god was lazy about getting the message out 'Hey they'll find out eventually, what's a couple of billion here or there'. That's your loving god for you.

Maybe you should read the answers you are getting here and really try to use the brain (that I presume your god gave you to intelligently analyze things with) to try and see the flaws in your thinking, because you seriously are wasting years of your life in believing in something that has ZERO proof.

Jesus existed, was a charismatic leader, and led an exemplary life. However, he never intended to start a religion. When he was crucified, his followers told and retold the story of his life and death, embellishing it a little each time it was told. The gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke have done this; and so has John, in a somewhat different manner. Religion was closely tied to politics (and still is today.) The Council of Nicea was highly politicized, and decisions were made at that time that certainly did not reflect what Jesus did and said. Many gospels and other books were thrown out of the Bible for political reasons, and many were included that never should have been.

Sigh.

God sends them to hell as the crime of apathy: given infinite power, god has the ability to NOT have them go to hell, and as thus by having them go to hell, even if it's only by some machination of the way hell works, he's still sending them to hell. The biblical arguements about free will don't work, because an omniscient entity means that determinism is true, and free will (while existing in the sense that conscious entities make decisions) is irrelevant, because god knows who is and isn't going to make a certain choice.

So, those of us who aren't Christian are just too optimistic to think there's an omnipotent entity out there that tosses people into the pits of hell for what's not even a bad thing, other than that he himself said it's bad.

To answer you question, the very word "salvation" is from the greek doctrines of Pythagorus, and means "balance", specifically the balance of the four elements and their powers necessary to a righteous and productive life. Although Christianity co-opted the term several hundred years later, it actually has nothing to do with either the historical or biblical Jesus (two very different things, but that is the answer to another question). Salvation is an esoteric (what you would call a "pagan") concept, and as such, we can and do find it on our own. The idea of "saving" comes from a different root, but as there is no Hell to be saved from you will no see me there, so rest easy. All is well.

I do not believe you.

Prove god exists. Prove Jesus was god incarnate. Prove that the biblical account of genesis, sin, and salvation are real. Prove that heaven and hell exists. Prove that if god exists it actually cares if you believe in him or not.

Until you can prove any of those requests your religion is no more novel nor certain than ANY other.

In the end, I do not accept Jesus as my saviour because there is no reason to believe he is, and no reason to believe I have anything I need to be saved from.

Christians are born with sin, I was not.

I believe they need something-- someone to believe in and that can give them eternal life by excepting him and confessing their sins to him,Jesus,in my vast research and talking to ppl. who have research all different types of religions,I have now come to the conclusion they have been brain washed and lied to as my self once was,I do believe in a supreme Creator,Alpha & Omega,God and that Jesus was or is his son but,I do not believe excepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior will give one eternal life, nor do I believe Jesus claimed to be the Savior of man kind,Jesus was a Master--teacher--teaching us how to love, forgive, help others and how we should live,I also do not believe Jesus died on the cross,I no longer consider my self a Christian,I no longer belong to any Organized Religious Group, they feed full of untruths and Religions have caused more Wars and Deaths than any other factor in all of Man Kind,I am now a Spiritualist,I believe each of us will have to atone for our wrongs --- misdeeds and I believe in reincarnation and we all we have to keep coming back until we get it right before we can be one with our Creator and many of us will never attain this quest.

I am not saying that I dont believe what you believe, but there are others in the world that have different views of the world. Just because you believe something, doesnt make it true. The bible is not the only holy book in the world, and should not be the only book you reference. The kabalah, torah, and other sacred books are just as good as the bible. God put us on this earth to learn tolerance, and if you cannot tolerate any other religion other than your own, you have not really learned, have you? "love your neighbor" means every neighbor, not just those in your religion.

I don't ask Jesus to be my savior because I'm doing just fine without him and I find that concerning myself with his story and issues in the bible, and praying would take up valuable time I could be putting towards other endeavors, like actually doing good deeds, or furthering my education in order to help others. I feel that Jesus is something for people who need him to get them through whatever situation... and that belief and faith in him and a relationship with him and his love is really important and great for people. Personally, I've found pursuing such a relationship to be time consuming and useless... for me.

People do not want to accept Christ because they are having way too much fun sinning. People will only turn to God if they are in trouble. Itsnt funny how America got religious when 9/11 occured or when the pope died. Atheism is a wealthy man's faith. No poor man with nothing to lose will tell you there is no God. Only men who are conceited with worldly riches will tell you there isn't one. Its easy not to ask for help when you "think" you don't need it. "Only a very sick soul cannot recognize its own reflection"

Why would we want to ask a dead guy to be anything but dead? Oh you mean he could be a fairytale god?

Think about it for a minute will ya? Most people don't believe in such a thing and would feel silly or foolish even thinking about it.

Dear imaginary friend will you be my savior?

Sounded silly right? Well that is why.
