to all of you who have made comments on my CHOICE about the number of children I plan to have, I do practice natural family planning, but only when we want to, and each of our children were planned, each of them are great human beings, yes my husband has a great job, no we are not on walfare, yes they are well taken care of and yes they are all in a BIG happy home. I was a single teenage mom who got here crap together and made good CHOICES including everyone on my kids. If you met them you'd be amazed at what remarkable people they are. I feel blessed to be thier mom :)

Well, it also depends on your last name and how it sounds with it, but just remember that this child is going to spend his/her whole life being Octavio/Octavia...Maybe you should consider some other version of 8.

8th planet - neptune
8th month - August
periodic table of elements - Oxygen is #8
8th book of the old testament - Ruth
etc. etc. etc.

Also check out this website on the number 8 and it's significance.

Lastly, after all, he/she is your child - do what feels right to you!

No i'm sorry but that is not good.
I don't mean to offend you but it's actually downright stupid.
It is funny to you but it won't be funny to your child.
They'll be stuck with that name for life and there's a good chance people will bully them because of it. When they get older they might want to change it but won't want to mention it in case they hurt your feelings, or they might just come right out and complain to you about it. Or there is a slim chance it will work out.

I personally think it's sad to give your children "novel" names like that, especially one like that (or based on that) I could see the point if you called them Ferrari or something..but Octavio is just lame. Sorry but there's my answer.

How about, 'oh, crap!' Sorry, just kidding that was mean. Congrats!

I think Octavia is nice. Or maybe look to see what 8 is in other languages? That could be pretty, too.

Had friends once named their girl Octavia, ended up calling her Juice because she slobbered so much as a child. Just remember they have to go to school. I'm Bob, could it get any more common? Named my son Jebadiah

I think you and your husband should name the baby what ever you like. does he like the name? For a girl, how about Olivia? That is such a dainty name.
GOOD FOR YOU! If you can afford a large family then more power to you!

I am so curious as to how you have time to even be on the internet with 7 children to take care of.
