Yes it would still bother me. But at least they would speak English, unless they were from Quebec. Then we'd have to shoot them at the border for being quasi-French.

It doesn't bother me if they do it legally. Yes it would piss me off if canadians were coming over here without their visa or proper papers. Yes it bothers me when any immigrant comes to the USA and show no respect for the country and want to be given jobs, healthcare, schooling, and all the other privilages and the US citizens are expected to foot the bill for them. We are not all rich and wealthy here either and our taxes continue to go up and up to support not only illeagal immigrants but even some of our own people who are US citizens that just want a hand out. If you really want to work hard and make it in the US then you must do it legally and with the same blood swet and tears we did to get were we are.

When I was growing up in Maine, many French-Canadians from Quebec came in and took lots of jobs. My town became mostly French--some immigrants, some waiting to be naturalized. I don't know if any were illegal, but there was no outcry anywhere from the non-French(my family was not French). Nobody seemed to mind them taking jobs, and nobody minded the language barrier. There were no complaints about cultural clashes, either. The English/Scottish Protestants who were the original settlers didn't seem to mind all the French Roman Catholics coming in, or all the cathedrals and convents being built. It really was a live-and-let-live spirit.

You are assuming that Mexicans crossing the border bothers me. Actually, it would bother me more because conditions in Canada don't suck like they do in Mexico. Why do you think they keep crossing? They want to have a better life. I am Switzerland on this issue however!

It is the schools and not being able to speak English, combined, that is the biggest problem, although health care is next.

It would be more as if not just a handful, but 12 to 20 million of us went to Canada to leech off of their much better health system.

We all know that would be stealing.

So why do people make excuses when illegals come here to take our education and health care funds?

It's been happening for quite some time now. The big difference is that the Canadians do it legally and bring skills with them.

Anyone and everyone must follow the proper procedures, including learning the language and culture. That is immigration. Running across the border is not immigration.

No, because the Canadians take a bath daily instead of once a month whether they need it or not.

It doesn't matter to me which border or from what nationality they come from. If they don't respect our country enough to come here the legal way and be documented and accounted for, then they shouldn't be here at all. Doesn't matter if they are from the south or north or east or west. Just come legally.
