Abortions... Can they be stopped?!?

This is totally unconfirmed... but I heard of a new group on the block that vows to abort 3 babies for every one baby not aborted due to religious debate. Can they be serious? What if they are?!

Abortions can not be stopped. It is a matter of choice and circumstance. If that group is serious or not, is of no consequence, because the choice is still the mother's. Why would someone want to hurt a child that's been given the chance to live? Yet that is what Anti Abortionists want. They want the child to suffer right along with a mother who can't care for it on her own, or a mother who is abusive towards it, because it is the product of a rape, or a mother who will leave it on a dumpster to die, or let it slowly and painfully die from hunger, because there is no money to feed it.
I hear of these stories all of the time, but I never see stories of an Anti Abortionist trying to feed, clothe, or give a monetary donation directly to the mother regularly or help her find a job so that she can take care of that baby.
Adoption is an option too, but now you have a child that is in the system, and you know how many foster parents abuse that. There is no easy solution when a mother is faced with an unwanted pregnancy, and some people are ignorant enough to believe that all women that want to abort their babies, are unwed teenagers using an abortion as a method of birth control. Some of these women are educated and married. Some have too many children already, and the husband just lost his job. Some women have abusive husbands that raped them and beat them so they will be fat and ugly as well as pregnant with low self esteem. All these lives that Anti Abortionists don't care about, and yet they call themselves PRO-LIFE?
Pro Choice is not pro abortion. It's the right and respect given to a woman to make an informed decision that's best for her. Because when all is said and done she is the one who must deal with her decision. Sometimes that decision is to abort, sometimes that decision is adoption, and sometimes the decision is to keep the child. The risks for all of the choices are explained to her. This would be called NOT treating women like cattle.
What's funny is, they will sit back and piously call abortion murder, but what is it called when one of that group bombs an abortion clinic or sets it afire, or stabs an abortionist? That's not murder? Pro Life is a lie. Anti Abortion is what they are. If you are pro life, then you respect all life. Why don't you just say abortion is not a choice for you, and leave it at that?
Because one thing is certain, Abortions can not be stopped. It's just a matter of them being legalized or not.

I don't think that abortions will ever be stopped. As long as there're irresponsible people and plenty of reasons for people to abort, abortions will go on. Outlawing it only takes away from the conditions in which abortions are made. As for what you heard, I find it hard to believe, and since it's unconfirmed, I'm guessing it's just a rumor and not worth speculating on.

This sounds ridiculous. Forget about it, it's just a rumor.

And yes, of course abortions could be stopped. Make contraceptives of all kinds available over the counter to all women aged fifteen and up, no prescription required and no questions asked. And make sure every schoolchild gets a proper education in human biology and sexuality -- none of this abstinence-only bullshit.

Interesting point here, In 1936 the German Supreme High court ruled that the Jew was not a person, In the 1970's Roe V Wade Ruled that an unborn child was not a person (see any similarities?) All this in the name of women's right to chose, I say finish the sentence, Right to chose to commit murder. but refuse to accept that and want an easy way out of a mistake made on some one night stand. Oh,,This makes me so mad .

No one can abort a baby except the person carrying it. It's nobody's business what a woman does with her uterus, any more than it is anyone's business what a man does with his penis and testicles, and no one should try to persuade women one way or the other about abortion! The facts should be presented in a completely unbiased way, and the woman should be left to make her decision unharrassed by people on either side of the debate.

I don't think abortions as a whole can be stopped. Individually, they can be and are. However, there will always be abortions. Whether in a clinic or some poor girl taking the situation on herself because there's no one to help here and/or she doesn't know what to do.

I haven't heard of this but I pray and work towards the end of abortion. Understand I am not for violent means nor do I judge or condemn the misguided women who choose it. I just wish this choice was not needed or used.

no they can't be stopped. In the US they are legal due to the Roe v. Wade case.

Hopefully it will never be overturned. Abortions will still occur even if this law were to be overturned and only more lives will be lost because women seeking abortions will not be able to do so in a legal way and will turn to shady unground clinics.

I don't think thats true but if it is I hope they drop dead. Abortion won't go away I've seen this girl in my school who aborted her child w/ a coat hanger. Abortion is evil and to those woman who say its thier body, the child has its own, it may be inside but its still a different being so you can't make up its mind can you now????

its part of the overpopulation myth. My thoughts are they should start killing off old people. When you reach 80, you get to decide how you want to die... Then you know when your time is up...

Do a search on population pyramids and you will find that people 80+ will make up the majority of the population in most countries in 2050... scary.
