It could mean that you have had a stroke, generally a T.M.I. if only your face is affected. You may also have an affliction called Bell's Palsy. You should have a check-up to see what has actually happened. If it is a T.M.I., or the commonly caused mini-stroke you may need further diagnosis and treatment. Bell's Palsy is generally a more temporary weakness of the facial nerve(s) and may actually clear up on it's own after a few months. There has been some correlation found between people who suffer from cold sores and that particular virus and the Bell's Palsy. Good luck and have a good night.
