I'd like to have a salamander broiler in our kitchen when we remodel. The cost for the actual broiler isn't prohibitive, however if there are a lot of other hidden costs, I'd like to go ahead and nix the idea. We had to pay an electrician to hardwire our stove when we first moved into our house. For the price we paid, I didn't know that we wouldn't get a plug with our stove. Also, We had to pay the gas company to install a gas tank and line to our home. We knew about this cost, but at the end of the day the stove ended up costing about $500 more than we initially thought. So I just wanted to know what I was getting into with wanting a salamander type broiler. Does anyone have one or install "high end" appliances in homes? What other costs are associated with a salamander??? Thanks

A salamander, that would be sweet. Keep in mind that it will throw tons of heat and is it really neccessary? Probably VERY costly.
