Some states do and will transfer A DUI to another state.
Where I live, it can be recorded in two other states, so watch out!

depends on the state and time in between... in NC and WV, if you get a DUI and take the appropriate action to getting your license back, it's off your record in 5 years. In FL, a DUI stays on your record for 75 years.

Yes, unless the vehicle code translates the DUI in one of the states as something else (ie: reckless driving).

"it sort of feels to me that an out of state DUI may well be like a freebie different than the economic outcomes for the 1st offence in that state." you would be incorrect. in maximum situations a DUI in any state is taken care of like a DUI contained in the state the place you're approved tochronic.

Mostly it counts as stupidity and a hard lesson learned. States share records, especially felony counts. So it depends on the states involved.

no unless the prosecuter is very agressive and does an ncic check then it will showw but those bastards are usually lazy lawers so mostly no next time hit the gas and get away running from the law is always best so long as you get away!
