I suggest you go to some demo days and hit as many drivers as you can. Have the company reps fit you. Find a loft and a shaft flex that works for your swing. The oversize heads do have a bigger hitting area. Drivers with longer shafts are harder to hit. I suggest not buying a driver until you have hit it or one like it. I place that will let you trade a club back in is a plus. When you come across a driver that looks good and feels good you will know when it's the one for you.

get a ping g2 or g5 - the longest most forgiving driver there is - I have a g2 and I kill the ball off of the tee with no fear - I mean I really take a hack and I'll find the fairway 7 out of 10 times with some big distance - check it out for yourself and look at reviews - ping really has made an awesome driver
