it doesnt help that everything my brother does is just right, plus i have an annoying grandmother who lives withus and just tells my mom all the things i do wrong while my moms at work...im going crazy!!!! please help

Just try to ignore her and get in your bussiness. I have a father who is like your mom and he lives to criticize me but I just get in my bussiness and try to do things best as I can. You will never please people, specially to a demanding parent.

OK - so you are not the daughter she wanted. And, do you know what? That is perfectly OK, and here is why: a person should never have a child and expect that child to be anything other than the person that God created them to be. As long as you are a basically responsible person with character and integrity (you aren't getting high and burning down the house, or kicking small children, pulling the wings off flies, etc.) then I would try my best to accept yourself and not worry so much about who your Mom wanted you to be. I want my children to be happy, productive members of society. Whether or not they become a brain surgeon or a manicurist is at their discretion. They are not expected to be a cheerleader or never move far from home or anything else that interferes with their freedom to become their own person. They are expected to pay taxes, respect other people and pay their own bills once they reach a certain age.

What are you doing wrong according to your Mom and be honest. You know right from wrong. Is it that hard for you to follow rules? Do you think it is to much to ask that you do the right thing? Your Mom is not asking you to be perfect but to do what is asked I bet and you simply want to rebel and that's when you get into trouble. Your gonna show her and Grandma is diming you off every chance she has to your Mom and you don't like it when you get caught doing something you know you are not suppose to do in the first place.
Time for you to grow up punkin. Talk to your Mom if you don't like the rules and see if she will bend some to accommodate you if not guess what. You will just have to behave or both you and your Mom are going to be disappointed.
Remember something else. Your Mom and Grandma are not going to live forever so you better enjoy them while you got them.

I faced the same thing too... but without the grandmother.. but my brother will always tell on me... I believe that you have to change your mindset and adapt first, till the time you are old enough to go out to the society to work. Earn your keep and get out of the house.
If you do not want to get out of the house, I think you have to come up with different strategies, ( i have tried all, yelling to my mum that I am trying the best I can and I am not the person she wan me to become, I have tried to talk to my mum nicely but end up being despised again... etc) so in the end, one useful method is I find my sky with frens who appreciate me and support me... so when I am feeling lousy after my mum scold me.. I can turn to the,.. and in the end.. i think my mum gave me up and stop nagging at me.... and I just contiune being ME....

Shut up before your whin stains the carpet... your OK, your folks just don't want you laying in some gutter with your throat cut, or pregnant, or full of dope... just take everything with a grain of salt and listen to them, you might be amazed at the crap they went through so you could be where you are. I just recently found out my Dad regualrly got the S%^$ knocked out of him and was so poor that they used to hunt sparrows for soup, and I think my Mom had it that hard or worse...be happy damit!

I, too, could never please my mom. I stopped trying a long time ago. You have to also. You'll go crazy if you don't. Then remember when you have kids, don't do that to them.
