I always hated shower games. However, my cousin had us play a cute one that I actually enjoyed.
You write (or find ) a paragraph about the happy couple. Only within the paragraph you use words that are household products or spices. For example. it could say
"Groom's Name" may not always be ____________ but he's sure to bring you _________. Perhaps he'll bring you breakfast in bed at the crack of ___________.

Answers being Mr. Clean, Joy, Dawn
To make it more challenging, don't give a wordbank.- That's really hard... but to make it just a little easier you could give a word bank that also had extra words in it.
Some of the other products she used was: Era, Time, ****- n- Span, Secret, Mop n Glo, Fantastic, Pledge

Here is a similar paragraph I found on the web.

My Darling Michelle,

Before we met, I was a lonely guy, going __________. Then, something_____________happened. And like a ray of ___________, you came into my life. I knew right away that it was the beginning of a new ________. I had nothing to lose and everything to ___________; I decided to be ____________. And boy and I’m __________ I did! Today, there's a ____________ in my step and _________ in my heart.

Because of you, I want to ___________ and ____________, "Great _____________! What a lucky guy I am!" Dearest, I can't wait until we ___________ our love, a love stronger than the __________, to one another for all time. Then I'll _______________ you away to a beautiful _____________. I'll be your all night ______________; I'll _____________ with you until ____________.... Whatever you desire. ________ my love…
Forever Yours,
Adam

Here are the answers: Solo, Fantastic, Sunlight, Era, Gain, Bold, Glad, Bounce, Joy, Shout, Cheer, Scott, Pledge, Tide, Whisk, Future, Dynamo, Snuggle, Dawn, All:

I've also seen a game where you have someone record the Bride to Be's reactions to her presents. "ooh.. that's nice", "you'll have to show me how this works", "this is huge" then read them back to her at the end as "Things She'll Say on her Wedding Night" - not really a game - I guess - but fun.

At my bridal shower we played a couple of cute games- but the best one was the toilet-paper wedding dress. Divide the guests into groups (in my case they were all at table of 8 already so it worked out great) and give each group a roll of toilet paper. Tell them to pick one person to be the "bride" and they have 4-5 minutes or so to create a wedding dress with the toilet paper. You will be surprised how into it people get!! As the bride, I judged the dresses and awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Everyone commented on how cute and fun the game was :-)

Another great idea is to do something relating to how well people know the bride/groom. My bridesmaids made up a sheet of questions relating to my fiance and I, for example--- where and when we were engaged, the shape of my engagement ring, how old we were when we started dating, where our first date was etc. Those who get the most right also get a prize. Good luck planning your shower and remember to have a good time :-)

The game that was a big hit at my sister shower is a list of things that will keep the relationship Happy. once every on is done you read them out loud and the bride to be has to pick the best one and promises that she will don it.

Another game is a question game to see who knows the bride the best. you will make up the question and let the people answer them .

One game you can play is like scramble. you will list the favorite things in the wrong order.

our you can just do a word-search with all the things it take to keep a marriage happy.

the last game is a wedding dress game the only material you can use is toilet paper and decides the best dress.

I hop I gave you some ideas.

A good game that keeps people's attention:

Get some small prizes and a kitchen timer. During the gift opening, set the timer at random. When it goes off, whoever's gift she is opening gets a prize. If no gift is being opened at the time, the last one gets the prize. It seems to keep people a bit more interested.

The prizes were things like soap, candles, chocolates, sm. gourmet coffee etc.

I like to do games that will get people talking to each other. You can do a charades or pictionary type game with a love theme. Being childish and silly can be lots of fun. Try mad libs with the wedding in mind. Water balloon toss, tongue twisters. Contests that use tongue tricks like drinking coke with 2 straws one outside the can can be fun too.

Games at showers are torture and really aren't showers torture enough all by themselves? I mean I know we have to go to showers, it's important, but games just make them longer than they already are. Games are bad, no games. Eat and open presents and get the heck out.

Take a small box and place several items inside then place a mirror in the inside lid. Everyone gets about 45 seconds to look inside and then write Dawn what they saw see how many say the mirror and themselves.

I was just at a shower yesterday, and there were some cute ones. One was that the bride-to-be was gotten out of the room - and we had to write down what she was wearing, describe jewellery, etc. It was interesting to see who remembered what.
