If you don't know what they are then you should take them off of her. She could have an allergic reaction of whatever they may be and end up in a hospital or worse. I'd confront her to find out what they are and where she got them. Whether they are over the counter medicine or prescribed, there is always a possibility of an allergic reaction or worse.

From a medical standpoint, that is a high dose for a 12 year old, but not toxic. As a general statement I don't think children should be given anti depressents or anti psychotics. People have been raising children for hundreds of years without them. However, with the decline of our society it seems drugging our kids to make them well is ok.

Take them from her.Ask her why does she have them.Listen and watch her closely because the next sounds you her may be of disgust, fake crying, and lies.First call your pharmacy, find out exactly what those tablets are. Then confront her. That way you'll know if she is lying or telling the truth. At 12 yrs. old the only thing she needs to sleep is to close her eyes.

I don't know what could happen and I'm pretty sure she doesn't either. Talk to her, ask her what they are, where she got them, why she takes them. If she is having trouble sleeping or any other problem assure her she can go to you. Reach out to her and open a dialog before something really bad happens.

Make an appointment with your family doctor and take her to the doctor and show the doctor the medication. If there is a medical condition such as a sleep disorder or a drug addiction you need the help of your family doctor.

Did you ask her what she is doing with pills that are not prescribed to her? It is extremely important that you are aware of the medication or pills she is taking just incase she is allergic to them and goes into anaphylactic shock - meaning she could stop breathing and die. Please take CPR and first aid training so you can help her breath when she is not able.

Take the tablets to the pharmacy to find out what they are. Then, determine where she got them and take her to the police.
