I really like the color black on cars, i think that it looks great. However i have heard that it isnt the hype that it lives up to. I heard that scratches show up easily and it shows dirt. I havent ever had black as a car color but do you like yours. Is it worth buying if it has a lot of maintenence.

I only buy in black. They do get dirty and scratchy, but I don't care, just wax more often. Black is sexy and sleek.

I own two black cars, actually. I love how both of them look. Black is definitely the color to have if you want tinted windows (it looks *really* sexy).

As for dirt, I don't think it shows up any worse on black cars than it does on any other color of car. Maybe it's worse if you live in a place with alot of pollen; I don't know. And the little light scratches aren't too obvious, but if you get a deep scratch it does look pretty bad. Then again, a deep scratch would look bad on any color car.

I have a black car and it looks great right after I wash it. The rest of the time, it looks a bit dirty and I'm not sure I would buy black again. It does show scratches more, too.

Still...black is pretty cool.
If you don't mind washing cars, it may be for you.

I had a black car once. It's not that it was scratched more or was dirtier, just that this color amplifies them more. So I did end up using the duster more often. I also had a white car and I could go weeks without washing and it would still look clean.

I own 2 black cars and they might look nice when clean, but show dust really bad. Also if you live where it gets hot you will NOT want black. I used to hava a white car and it was never as hot in the summer as my black ones (and they have tinted windows)
I would not buy another dark car.

Yes you can identify all types of dust/pollen on a black car from the drivers seat. You rub yellow wax into the paint and it looks like you could walk right Thur the shine to the other side. You admire it in building windows, quick hit the brakes don't hit the car in front of you! You buy all types of auto detailing products. You own a California car duster. You dust the car and the static charge just picks up more dust! It takes a hellofalotofwork to keep BLACK SHINY NICE CLEAN

You can see the dirt, but its like that with any color, unless your car is brown. Black cars are awesome and mine wasn't much maintence. Any scratches seemed to buff out easily.

My partner has a black car. Yes, it does show up ALOT of dirt but if you wash it say, once every 2 or so weeks you won't have any problems.

I also have a black motor vehicle and it relatively is genuine. it is amazingly relatively heat yet purely positioned the residing house windows down slightly happening the line and then the ac would desire to be cool adequate to maintain u cooled down. in my view i like it warm and that i many times do no longer use the ac. I purely love the breeze. Black autos are lots nicer looking whilst their sparkling and u preserve it.
