My fiance and I are starting to make purchases for our wedding, and we have heard of people getting a credit card to make the wedding purchases and getting some kind of reward, cash back, bonus, or free airline miles.

Has anyone heard of this? Where should I look or how should I search to find out which one to go with? Thanks for your help!

:)

We are paying off anything we charge on credit cards as soon as the bill comes, so we are actually paying for EVERYTHING out of pocket.

Many credit cards offer rewards such as cash back etc when you use them. It does not need to be for a specific thing they give out rewards for every purchase. However there are cards that give out MORE points or cash back for certain things. For example if you know you are going to stay at Hilton Hotels on your honeymoon get a
hilton card from American Express - get one here: http://www.dgftaworld.net/credit/AmericanExpressCards.htm

In fact that site has many reward credit cards.
Just make sure that you pick the card that is right for you !! And that your credit score is high enough to qualify usually higher than 650.

I have the Bloomingdale's Premier Visa and Macy's Elite Visa both offer standard rewards of 3% on their respective stores plus on special events, you can earn double or triple rewards.

You save even move and earn the rewards when you use their cards on their specially departments like their wedding planner services and/or book vacations to exotic destinations. The Visa accounts earn 1% rewards with other purchases.

www.bankrate.com is a service that analyzes all credit card offerings. Check it out. Financial Advisor Suze Orman mentions this site in her books as a way to keep up on mortgage rates, credit card rates, savings rates, as well as a source for articles relating to personal finance.
