if you go to a school where sports are fun and not boring, try joining a team of some sort. any activity should help you burn cals. like mad if you eat & exercise the right way. it's good to always eat a good breakfast too, DONT SKiP out! seriously, it'll make you so sluggish if you do. hope my tips help :]
I would suggest swim team beacause it works every part of you're body and you don't have to be excellent at it to have fun and get the results that you want.

I don't know, Dodie. I think you are being hard on yourself. For a start, 127 at 5'4"is not exactly overweight category. You are still young and have a lot of growing to do. You don't have to be "Into sports" - not everyone is, and that's OK. Your face may be a youthful plump, not puffy, and that will change, rapidly. Give yourself a break. Look after yourself, stay healthy, but take it easy on yourself. You will learn that there is a tremendous phoniness in this culture, that results in everyone thinking they have to look like a 130lb, 6' model.. so long as you keep a reasonable balance in food and (any kind of ) exercise, you will be fine. Don't be so hard on yourself.

Try working out other muscles to GAIN (yes, I said gain)1 or 2 pounds of muscle. This will raise your resting metobolic rate to where you will lose the 12 pounds of fat. and keep it off.
Watch what you eat and try to make it a bit more healthy. At your age and weight a few snacks won't hurt ifyou are careful. Drink a minimum of 64 ounces of water daily! and add 8 more ounces for every 10 to 20 pounds you want to shed.

Eat healthier, lower fat foods. Try walking to school everyday or doing laps at the mall. 14 is too young to diet. Your body needs lots of food to build your organs to adult size. Dieting before you are fully grown can mess with your blood sugar, lead to bulimia or anorexia, stunt your reproductive system, and can cause depression (believe it or not). Just eat healthier and walk a lot. Also, drinking extremely cold water can help. Your body has to burn calories to heat it up to body temperature before it can be absorbed.

Cut sugar out of you diet. Don't substitute in with Splenda. Drink lots of water. If you don't like water put some fresh lemon or lime juice in it. It worked for me.

You can walk a dog - if you have one. You can also try running on the treadmill.. Or You can play basketball or baseball. Those are easy sports that you can try that can get you shaped. you can also try doing crunches and push-ups.
