they reward your spending with "miles" basically travel miles the more money you spend the more miles you earn towards free travel like tickets. This is not a free service with chase and it would cost about 30.00 a year to link your chase card with your onepass account with an airlines. i hope this answers your question. :)

The miles in question are like bonus points. If you are a member of an airline's frequent flyer program, you score a mile for each mile of flight on that airline. The miles can be redeemed for seat upgrades or for future tickets. Some vendors other than airlines also award miles.

People say airplane miles, but that's not how it works.
It's kinda like how in first grade, your teacher would give you points for doing your homework every day, you'd get a prize.
If you fly a certain airline a lot, you earn miles.
For example, on Hawaiian Airlines, you can get a free flight from Japan to Honolulu once you've earned 80,000 miles.
Longer flights are usually more miles. If you fly about 5,000 miles, you can earn about 12,000 miles on American Airlines.

They count towards rewards offered by airlines. They are treated as the equivalent of miles-traveled. Yes, you have to use the card to earn them, usually. This means buying things on credit.

Unlike the points on Yahoo! Answers, cc miles are actually worth something to the consumer.

They are like points for frequent flyer programs... The more you fly the more miles you get and these miles can be used for special priveleges like upgrades, hotels or even free flights. There are different tiers for the membership schemes. Each tier requires a certain amount of miles before you can reach it. The higher the tier, the more benefits.
