Alright, follow these instructions. Go to your local pharmacy and pick yourself a box of Colgate Orabase. It will be right next to the ambosol. This stuff is pretty expensive, about 10 bucks for 10 applications, but well worth it. It comes with these foam sticks where you dry your mouth with one end and you put this solution on the other end and you dab your canker sore. This solution creates a seal over the sore that protects it for about 6 hrs (the box says six, I put it on before bed and it lasted me about 10 hrs), as well as eases the pain. This stuff is really good, because it doesnt allow other things to get into the sore allowing it to heal and its film cover makes it hard for you to stick your tounge in it constantly. I use this stuff all the time when my braces start creating sores in my mouth, and its the only thing that lasts and makes it better with out numbing my entire mouth and throat.

Make a mixture of 1/2 Maalox 1/2 Benedry. Swish and spit (don't swallow). This really takes the pain out of mouth ulcers.
When the sore goes completely away, get a new toothbrush. The virus that causes these ulcers live in your toothbrush. Changing your toothbrush once a month for several months in a row will slow down the number of mouth ulcers you get. When you haven't had one in a while, change your toothbrush every 3 months.

This is the ONLY thing that works for me. I put a bit of rubbing alcohol on a Q-Tip {not enough so that it is dripping, just enough to wet the cotton}, and then rub it on the coldsore a couple times a day, when rubbing, I try to use some friction to help break the coldsore apart as the alcohol is working. In a day or two it is gone, they never last more than 2 days when I do this trick. Good luck!

I had a huge one some week and a nil.5 in the past and it injury like hell. It did no longer help that I had braces too. i replaced into pissed that it does no longer circulate away after days and days. i desperate to circulate to Walgreens and get "Canker conceal" lol. it somewhat is this patch that is going over the sore and leaves this invisible action picture on it so as that it reduces the soreness from ingesting or speaking. It worked ok, in certainty, my sore replaced into greater proper day after right this moment, even nevertheless it kinda makes a multitude later on and that's problematic to positioned on.

I usually experience this but it's from me accidentally biting the inside of my jaw, I've never had my wisdom tooth removed,so i wet a plain paper towel, stick it in my freezer, and keep it in my mouth so it won't continue to be irritated and it goes away in a couple of days

You may not like this, but when I have one of these, to get rid of them I poke or bite them until they bleed, and then I take some 80 proof anything and let it rest on there for disinfection.
The next day things are almost back to normal.

My mom used to put something called 'alum' on it. She also made me gargle with salt water 3 times a day. It works!
