if i was in a position to adopt kids, i would adopt a child with hiv
i dont see the probable in doing so, yes it would be more care and more work but it would mean everything to that child and its not their fault they have hiv. its not like you touch someone with hiv and you automatically get it

I think this is a difficult one!
It is very sad that a baby is born HIV positive, but the decision to look after such a child must not be taken lightly ,as the child will require alot of care and attention and the child will also be poorly
Sorry I dont really have an answer for you

UN like some people I would adopt a child with HIV, They are human to. I dont see why any one would be discuraged buy adopting one. And the people that say NO, How would you like it if you were born with HIV. I would think you would still want loved!

I am not tring to offend and if I did in any way I would be sorry!

I am too old to be adopting anymore kids. But yes, I would if I were able. When I took foster kids I always knew that there was that possibility. I adopted my first foster kid and yes I would have still if that were the case.

I would. The problem would be with the medical expenses. Most insurance companies will not cover preexisting conditions for six months. Few people could afford these costs. Antiviral meds are expensive.

I know that some people with HIV can live quite a long time without exhibiting symptoms of AIDS, but I don't think I could handle falling in love with my child and then seeing him deteriorate and then pass away. So no, I don't think I would.

Bringing up children is hard work and requires a huge commitment.
Bringing up sick children is harder and requires more of a commitment.

Should people who have the resources to do one but not the other
just not adopt?

I have the resources to do it, but I can quite understand couples that
want to adopt but feel they'd like to start out with a healthy child.

No, I wouldn't. I'd most likely end up being very attached to the child and then would have to watch him/her die if full-blown AIDS ever set in. I don't think I could handle that.

HELL NO! They're born by black sluts, who are too dumb enough to use a condom when they do it! Let's just hope when Bill Gates & Mr. Clinton give advice, the black race will listen and use more condoms each time they have sex. And hell, will you please quit whining? Why would any hot-blooded person want to see a frail, slowly dying person, when the HIV/AIDS vaccine is decades away?! Sleep on it.
