bring the Adobe reader preferance panel by clicking Edit then click preferance
from the preferance panel choose Internet
then make sure that the "display PDF in browser" is checked
and check the two remaning check boxes too
then press OK

Write click the PDF the save it to your desk top, then open adobe and open the file from the "FIle", Open menu

Try saving the PDF to your desktop and opening it from there. I've had all kinds of problems opening PDFs in Internet Explorer.

Maybe it's a huge file and just taking time? Try right click and downloading it instead. It might even be a bad link
