NOPE. Its kinda like you don't freeze lettuce either ... kind of a common sense issue!

Hungarian Slaw
(1) 1 Large head of cabbage---chopped or grated cover with tap water. Add 1 cup salt or to taste. Soak for 2 hours, and then squeeze dry & wash.
(2) Mix 1/2 stalk celery (chopped)
1 large green pepper (chopped)
1 tablespoon whole mustard seed
Set mixture aside
(3) 1 cup white vinegar
1/2 cup water
2 cups sugar
Bring to a boil
(4) Pour over cabbage, celery, pepper, mustard seed, mix well
(5) Let set until cool, stir once in awhile.
(6) When completely cool, put in containers or freezor bags, & freeze.
This is a really good recipe, it will keep in the freezor for a couple of years. It is really tasty, most times I make a double batch. Hope you enjoy this. Have a nice day.

I assume you are going to boil this later or use in cooked recipes not slaw. I do this and use it just to boil with butter or in soup.
Cut in large chunks leaving out the core. Put in boiling water for about 5 minutes and cool it in ice water. Drain for a bit. Place in bags and freeze. Works out just fine. Been doing it for years.

No. Cabbage turns into disgusting, slimy mush when you freeze it! Lettuce, too...
