Well, no one really knows. But your question and quotations already imply many of them. If Beelzebub is the prince of devils, this necessarily means that there must be more then one demon under subject to him. And since we do not know the number of demons, it is interesting to note we do not know the number of angels either. Basically saying we do not know to much of either realm of existence and its inhabitants.

A deeper study will show you there are hundreds of named fallen angels. Probably thousands or more.

When Lucifer was kicked out of heaven he took with him a third of the "stars" or angels. Probably a number we cannot count to and probably each has a name.

The demon talking to Jesus in the "demoniac" called himself "Legion" simply because "we are many".

During a detailed course study of the Book of Matthew something I noticed about the verses you cite in your question, changed my life. After the Pharisees made claims that Jesus worked miracles and healed people by the power of Satan... Jesus then tells his Apostles, If they say this of me, how much more will they say it of you? The servant is no better than the master so if they say this of me they will surely say it of you also.

I then realized Jesus meant His followers and the Church He established would also be persecuted and called anti-Christian and even satanic. It happens that a great number of Protestant Christians call the Catholic Church non-Christian and even satanic and demonic. This was one of my first steps toward exploring this further and now realize the Catholic Church is the original and true Chrisitain church and the words of Jesus Himself showed me the way. It is true....Jesus was called "Of the devil" and so is the Catholic Church, so what Jesus said is true.

Satan took 1/3 of the angels with him when he was kicked out of heaven. Please study the bible before you ask a question instead of acting like a dumb Blondie.

There is only one devil but there are many demons. Like there is one God but there are many angels.
