The best thing to do is to ask God to show you what He wants you to do to serve Him as you are ... with all of what you consider your sins and imperfections! If you ask honestly and can learn to listen to what He tells you (NOT an easy thing, I can assure you), you will find (I hope) that he has given you certain gifts in the form of likings and abilities for things that you may not at the moment consider 'Christian'.
He DOES know you, however, and He has made you the way you are so that you can serve Him with love - and in His love for you, which is very real and understanding and really, really smiles on the things you like, provided you bring them to Him to bless for His use. He can bless all manner of things, believe me! And they are not all things of which your pastor and other Christians might approve - the important thing is that God made you who you are and brought you to this point in order that you should walk with Him and be of service to Him.
People who understand about 'evil' and goodness and can see His purpose in it all are of much more use to Him that people who are blinkered by the rules and regulations of religion!

The only person who could exchange promises with the Christian god was either Moses or Noah.... I think it was Moses...
Since you're giving up all music that is not Christian, are you also only going to watch Christian TV, Christian movies, and only look at Christian art as well? Will you only read Christian books as well? I suppose you will only be eating food prepared by Christian chefs, and only support Christian sports teams too.
I hope you are aware that those who encourage the "Christian only" music fan are those who hope to boost Christian music sales or donations to the radio stations. How are you going to listen to classical music, or swing, or even Celtic music? There are a lot of styles you'll be missing out on.
Furthermore, there are many Christian musicians who do interact in the secular world in which they live.
I also think there are some Bible verses that say that instruments are bad in music used for worship.

You know the bible says it is better not to make a vow to God at all than to make a vow to God and break it...
I made a vow to God that i wouldn't play my playstation anymore. I miss my playstation alot but I don't want to play it because I told God I wouldn't.
Would he forgive me if I played it? I think so... but I don't want to go back on my word.
Perhaps you can find something other than secular music that makes you happy? There is plenty of Christian music out there in every style - try listening to this radio station for a while: http://zradio.org/index/listen/

God makes deals with no one. You may make a covenant with Him, but not deals. God makes no trades. I appreciate what you are saying, but I listen to other music too, and I am sure God doesn't censure me for it. Try prayer, and ask God if you are, in fact, displeasing Him.

Well, I do not know the answer to this particular dilemma,
but, in the future, I would suggest that you only make promises
that you can keep, whether they are to yourself, another person,
or God. Remember, a person is only as good as their word!

If God is a loving, forgiving God then why would he make you want to give up something you love?

FIRST OF ALL, YOU DO NOT MAKE PROMISES YOU CANNOT KEEP! GOD IS NOT IN THE BUSINESS OF TRADING....YOU SHOULD GIVE UP ALL THE OTHER MUSIC BECAUSE YOU FEEL IT DISTRACTS YOUR CHRISTIAN LIFE...AND IF IT IS JUST THE WRONG MUSIC TO LISTEN TO....WOULD PEOPLE WHO DO NOT KNOW YOU CONSIDER YOU A CHRISTIAN....ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS....IF YOU TALK THE TALK ...CAN YOU WALK THE WALK!
