To learn how to think for myself. The only way to do this is to realize that in anything there are multiple points of view. With this fact evident, the only thing you can do is to follow a set of guidelines that will help you reach the best conclusion possible. For example, if some one says to you such and such happened, and this happening is extraordinary, it follows that extraordinary proof must be provided to substantiate it. If someone tells you that they saw a fire engine going down the road yesterday, this requires little proof since this is an everyday occurrence. If you are told that they saw someone walking through fire and stand in it for five minutes without some sort of protection, you have every right to be skeptical. This requires extraordinary proof. Carl Sagan, now deceased, was a world famous astronomer. He created the Baloney Detection Kit, it works quite well, I use it all the time. See the Link below.

YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'VE GOT TILL IT'S GONE!! Unfortunately, I have learned this the hard way. Relationship ending, friend committing suicide, and my grandmother dieing. I did not tell any of these people that I loved them before I lost them. I have to live with that.
