The laundry is a good place to start. Stop doing his, cook only for yourself and clean up only after yourself and tell him why you are doing it each time he asks. Hopefully he will get the hint to help you as you help him. You don't have to do it all. He can give a little instead of you giving your all all the time. And when it comes to shopping, conveniently forget the TP and wait for him to figure it out on his own that it was needed. lol.

you could tell him that once the house is clean you can do something together like if he likes going out to eat tell him that you would like to go out to eat but not until the house is clean.

Housework and dudes are like sardine and jelly sandwiches...they don't go to together! Now if he isn't working as in making money and being productive, thats a different story! You would need to kick a loser like that out on his lazy @ss!

Seriously. I don't think it's possible. If you've asked him already to be respectful about this and he won't, then he never will... There are the kind of people that are considerate and uh, clean... and then there are the kind that aren't.

Tell him you are not going to live with a slob. If that doesn't work, depending upon whose house it is, either move out or kick him out. He needs to grow up.

Let me ask what is attractive about a guy who really isn't part of the give-and-take relationship? And if you tell me you love him, I won't be surprised by I also won't be impressed by your understanding of what makes good relationships.
