I know somebody whose married and had children with her step brother whom she grew up with. What's up with that?

It depends on the situation. I mean if the parents got married while the step sibilings were still young and they grew up together then that is wierd because they are very much like normal brother and sister. But if they were in their teens when their parents got married it is different. I mean they are just another person. Just because their parents happen to love each other doesn't mean that you are related. When their is a new person intruding on your life that is the opposite gender when you are a teenager...i don't know how to explain what i think so i don't know if you understand or not.
But if they grew up together, that is gross!!

that shouldn't even be on there mind cause they are just like brother and sister so why would you want to marry somebody that you grew up with in the same house hold and raise like brother and sister and marry them that is just sick and nasty

Even though they're not blood related that still a little weird if they grew up with one another. They should've fought the urge.

NO NO NO. my brother married my step sister, and they didn't even grow up together, and it was a disaster. When my dad and his wife would fight, my brother and her would fight, and since I was the baby, I was always having to hear EVERYBODY... They divorced within a year. My family cannot have holidays together anymore from that crap. It is NOT a good thing

How can people be ok with same sex marriage and out of the same mouth say marrying your step sibling is weird? I do agree with the person that said if you were teenagers when you met it wouldn't' be so strange...Remember......they're not related at all....

They are not siblings at all just their parents. There is no blood line that would make their kids nuts.

yeee. I'm gonna say no. Not unless they met each other in a different country while both vacationing separately and they didn't know the other existed before.

It's perfectly fine, it may be a little different, but they're not related by blood which matters. IT's just good that she met him when she did.
