Viruses evolve to be species specific and they do not cross from human to cat, or cat to human.
Do not treat your cats cold with anything. Everything you have in your house for humans is a potential death threat to your cat, aspirin, antihistamine, etc.
You need to watch the cat carefully. Chances are her cold will resolve itself. If in the next few days she is not eating, or her breathing becomes significantly impaired then, she develops diarrhea, etc. she needs to go to the vet.

Depends on which cold virus? There are actually a multitude of viruses that trigger the symptoms we associate with a cold and some can be passed to cats and some can not.

Yes, they can. You can give your cat a cold, and vice versa. Trick is: Only certain viruses can be passed. Strep, for example.

I actually asked my doc that & he said no animals & people don't catch stuff from each other, the exception being bird flu.
