It might scratch going down your throat, and it tends to me on the hot side, it is usually removed before eating the food, it is added for taste

anyways jk.... it's a kind of spice, it is ok to eat bay leaves I had them plenty of times with subji and rice and Dal and puris...etc.
Plenty of Indian ppl have eaten it and they're still alive. I've never tried it by itself but your welcome to if you want it just taste as good then if it's cooked in a subji.

actually you are supposed to let it float in your stew on top but if you actually ate it, I think it would be good for you__ very spicy and full of some kind of herbs or nutrients--_ a little strong though _______
