It's when you recognize that you're not perfect and that you cannot get to Heaven on your own. It's done by believing that Jesus Christ came to this earth 2000 years ago, lived a perfect life, died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins and rose back to life again on the third day after he was killed. The BIble states that the "wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Acts 16:31 says "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved." We are all born sinning. There comes a time in everyone's life that seems there should be more to life than what were living and we feel a longing to find fulfillment in it. If we want to experience love and forgiveness we can ask Jesus into our heart. If we do this with pure honesty and truly believe, He will save us from our sins and we will become a new person, not desiring the former things. It is a very simple act of faith and a wonderful gift from God.

The word "saved" is the greek word sowtair. It means to restore, or to "make whole", it is often translated "heal" in the New Testament.
There's a difference between the gift of God's grace and salvation. We received God's grace when we lay hold on it by faith, but salvation is something that occurs over a lifetime.
That's why the Bible says to "work out your own salvation with fear and trembling." Salvation comes through obedience to the righteousness of Christ.
Salvation comes by putting to death the old man and living to the Spirit. We are to "put on the new man", and to die to self.
Salvation is a process, not a fire insurance policy.

Get a King James Bible and look up ROMANS 10-9.
If you do that and MEAN it, You (a Spirit living in a Body) will get Recreated.
You will become a Child of GOD on the Way Home to Heaven.

Just put your faith in G-d IF you believe in Him.
In my religion, everyone will have a share in the comming world no matter what IF gentiles follow the 7 laws of Noah, which are very simple.
Of course every religion varies in how to be saved, which I am sure many people with answer with "accept Jesus as your personal lord and savior".

Everyone is in need of a Saviour! Everyone sins! Jesus paid for the sins of the whole world when He died on the Cross!
Salvation is accepting what Jesus did! In order to be saved one must confess their sins to God and ask for forgiveness!

Being "saved" means being brainwashed into believing that you HAVE to "accept Jesus into your heart" or you are not a Christian.
That is so WRONG!
Belief in Jesus makes you a Christian. Be as good as a person as you can possibly be and "save" yourself.

getting saved it to be spiritually born again unto Jesus Christ and accepting him into your life as lord and king and believing that he died and raised again for your sins. if you really want to be saved find a good bible base church that you like and as the pastor when you are ready.. hope you get saved soon..... god bless you

getting saved opens the gates of heaven for you and to get saved all you have to do is believe God sent His Beloved Son to die on the cross to forgive us of all sin. Christ shed His Blood so we are guaranteed to go to heaven by truley believing this was done for you. All you have to do is truely believe He died for you.
