I have had bad luck with dogs in the past, but I recently adopted a tiny little chihuahua from the shelter and she is a total doll. I think she was abused because she is very fearful, but she is so pleasant, goes potty outside! Not a nervous, yapping mess like the chi I had before, who else has found their perfect dog at the pound? Tell me about your little angel.

My dog came from a rescue shelter in North Carolina. I found his picture on the Internet and fell in love. We never met until he was delivered to me (I live about 4 hours from where he was). He's a terrier mix who looks a lot like Benji, and he's a real sweetheart. I don't think he'd been abused, but whoever had him had not paid a lot of attention to him. He was clueless when I got him. I've had him about four years now (he was about 3 when I got him) and he's still a crazy terrier, but he's learned some manners. He's also a very happy dog now. I'm happy, too.

My poodle Sam was brought home from the shelter that I worked at and he was a Gem!!!!! Tehre will never be another special pup like him again. When he came into the shelter he was so matted we couldn't even tell what breed he was.
We were shocked to find a tattooed little sweetie under all the fur.
He had major health issues and was only with my family a short few months when he died of kidney failure but he had already touched our family in so many ways.
I miss that little bundle of joy!!!!!

I had a boxer bulldog, Clyde was his name.. we bought him out of the paper....My husband and I was looking for a boxer, and we went to go look at him.. The seller had 4 boxer puppies, 3 brindle and 1 fawn girl....I wanted the fawn girl, so bad, but she was already sold....well the 3 brindle pups came running outside, 1 feel flaton his face, he was so goofy looking and UGLY.. I told the man , thanks, BUT NO THANKS. We got in our car and was driving home, I noticed my husband was pissed, I ask him what his problem was, he said he wanted the goofy boxer puppy... I told him NO, it was to ugly and I thought it might be retarted...well needless to say, I turned the car around...went back to the mans house that was selling the puppies, told him I wanted the " little UGLY retarted one that came running out when we was there before" he opened the door and there came this little ugly puppie...as I was walking the puppy to the car I was telling him " YOu wont be living with us long, dont get happy"...my husband fell inlove with him the minute he saw him....well needless to say, he was OUR baby for 11 years, now just thinking about him just breaks my heart. He was a true friend to us. My husband adored this dog, and he adored my husband, well he died 3 years ago and my husband hasnt been right sense, he misses Clyde so much, we all do...well as of Friday the 11, we have a new boxer boy, and we will love him just as much...a dog is TRUELY a MANS BEST FRIEND INDEED

A year and half ago we adopted the most perfect little girl chihuahua from a foster home. She potties on her pads and is just full of love. She loves everyone, she hardly barks and you are soooo going to get kisses instead of nips from her! Everyday, we are so thankful for rescuing her. She loves to burrow under blankets and sleep right with us. In fact, she follows us from room to room. Chihuahuas rule!

proper - first of all of your vet might want to be able to provide you each and each of the solutions you've requested right here. If he doesn't ask HIM. yet for what it is properly worth, he can be sleepy, from the anaesthetic and can want to, or gained't opt to do a lot except sleep it off. once you convey him abode, have him someplace warmth and quiet - do you've a crate - if so, it truly is a acceptable position for him to bypass. He might want to opt to pee, so provide him the danger formerly you're taking him interior. do not do something with him except for preserving an eye fixed on him. in a lengthy time period you may want to provide him a touch water - do no longer enable him take plenty in because he might want to throw it up back. As for feeding him, depending on what you vet advises for sure, merely make up a touch scrambled egg, boiled fowl breast, or white fish. yet do not project if he's no longer attracted to ingesting till the following day. The more effective relax he receives at this level, the more effective efficient. the following day he might want to be exhibiting warning signs of being back to his previous self. save him as quiet as you may to provide the wound a probability to start up to heal. do no longer enable him bounce up, do not take him out except on a lead on your back backyard. when you're in any respect worried about him, telephone your vet for his suggestion. yet he will be fantastic - it truly is a rather undemanding operation and pups get better quick.
