The Chernobyl disaster. Read the passage about the "star called Wormwood", which looked like "a mountain on fire". Chernobyl is Russian for "Wormwood". A reactor core fire fire would certainly look like a volcano, and "a third of the waters were made bitter". Nuff said. Now examine the section with the "Locusts with streaming hair" making noises like hoofbeats, and tell me this does not sound like helicopters. It could be claimed I am twisting some archaic verses into my version of reality - but the analogies used are so unique, and are suited more for an audience of nearly 200 years ago.

The rise and fall of Alexander the Great in Daniel 11
The Hebrew Scriptures contain scores of prophecies fulfilled in the birth, ministry, death, and resurrection of Jesus.
For example, more than 700 years in advance, Micah foretold that the Messiah, or Christ, would be born in Bethlehem. (Micah 5:2; Luke 2:4-7)
Micah’s contemporary Isaiah foretold that the Messiah would be struck and spit upon. (Isaiah 50:6; Matthew 26:67)
Five hundred years in advance, Zechariah prophesied that the Messiah would be betrayed for 30 pieces of silver. (Zechariah 11:12; Matthew 26:15)
More than a thousand years beforehand, David foretold circumstances associated with the death of Jesus the Messiah. (Psalm 22:7, 8, 18; Matthew 27:35, 39-43)
And some five centuries in advance, Daniel’s prophecy revealed when the Messiah would appear as well as the length of his ministry and the time of his death. (Daniel 9:24-27)
This is just a sampling of the prophecies fulfilled in Jesus Christ

Yes...the most important one! The Old Testament is full of prophesies regarding the birth, death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, written thousands of years before Jesus was born. Why not read and STUDY the Bible and see what I'm talking about? First of all, though, read Josh McDowell's "More than a Carpenter".

None. Any prophecies that where supposedly fulfilled within the Bible's times where written after the fact. Any modern fulfillments are conjecture and normally have mutliple events tied to them through the past 2000 years.

No, they can't. Biblical prophecy (all prophecy for that matter) is written in such vague language, that it can only be applied to events after the fact. With a little creativity, it can be interpretted to fit past events, but not proven to have come true.
Something else to remember: The bible wasn't written and/or compiled until at least 100 years after the stories told in the new testament. It's real easy to write a prophecy after the fact...or translate it how you need to.

Yeah, the birth, life, and death of Jesus was prophesied. The coming of John the Baptist was too. The way the world ends in Revalation can probably come true too. Other than that, I can't really think of any others, exact ones that weren't in the Bible....

Yep.....Deuteronomy 28th chapter shows how my people got to this country, why we are still here and why we go through the things we go through. The Bible has proven to be a Great history reference when lost and your nationhood is just a color.
