how do you know if you should give a mate a second chance.?

boyfriend cheated and I want to know if I should give him another chance.

If he loved you in the first place he would not cheat on you. There is no reason to give him a second chance, all that will lead to is you starting to trust him again, and then him hurting you again... ONCE A CHEATER ALWAYS A CHEATER!!!!

The best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. If you stay with him, get prepared for more.
