I am sure that even though Adam and Eve sinned they were still created perfect in every way. It is free will that got them into trouble, along with a deceiving spirit named satan. Why did God allow such a thing in the first place? It was to work out His divine plan. Remember, God's time is not our time. What is even a moment in eternity? He wanted man to come to the choice place that would allow them to choose Him personally. When God delivered me from Drugs and Alcohol after nearly 40 years of abuse, He did it in one night while I was sleeping. I went to be an addict and woke up delivered from that mindset. Why did He let me go for 40 years in the desert? It was so I could learn everything about the subject from first hand experience. He now uses me to help others that have the problem and to be an example of hope. Perhaps it is the same thing with God. He let man flounder for a few thousand years and then sent Jesus to deliver mankind. If the time had not been so trying and miserable, and man had not gotten to the end of their selves, then what Jesus did, would be in vane. God knows exactally what He is doing in the big picture. I suggest getting on board and see the difference once you have finally truly surrendered all, good, bad and indifferent. It is a different World out here and I made the choice at least 40 years before I was delivered. My point is that God is perfect even in our imperfection. he cannot lie and He can use all things together for His perfect plan. Sin is being off target and Eve's sin was to take on knowledge. She and we do not need to know anything but the mind of Christ, and that is how man was created in the first place. Jesus came to make it avalible to us today. Certain choices will make us error for sure, but a plan is in place for forgiveness and when we ask we return immediatly to perfection, and God will turn the error into a lesson for perfecting of the saints.

"created in his own image" does not refer to the material body. This is a basic misunderstanding. Without knowledge of the soul, the body and the difference between them, all kinds of misunderstandings arise. We are made in the image of God means we are as spiritual as the Lord. That is our real nature. The body is just a temporary vehicle we are riding in for the next so many years. The body is our vehicle, not us, not our eternal nature. So yes, we are 'created' in His image because we are as spiritual as the Lord is spiritual and therefore our essential nature is perfection. The body and mind are imperfect, but we as spiritual sparks, parts of the Supreme Lord are as perfect as the Lord. Just as a drop of sea water has the same qualities as the whole ocean, similarly each living being has the same qualities -- eternal knowledge and bliss. The difference between us and the Lord is the quantity-- we are very small and He is the Supreme, we are His energy and He is the energetic, our source, we are the controlled, He is the controller.
When we are covered by the material body and material mind, we are prone to all kinds of mistakes, illusions, etc. because our desires and activities are perverted toward selfishness for sense pleasures. This is the imperfection we see in each of us. But once we become purified by selfless devotional service to the Lord-- which can happen even in this life-- we will no longer be plagued by mistakes and illusions and other imperfections.

We were made in God's image so yes Adam and Eve were created perfect. Just like you would not want a wife or husband to love you out of obligation; God did not want Adam and Eve to love and obey Him out of just obligation. Because of this He gave them, and all human beings for that matter, a free-will to choose whether or not they would follow God. It was the fruit act of choosing the fruit over God that brought the imperfections into the human race as a whole.

We aren't puppets...we have free choice. The Adam and Eve story serves as a cautionary tale and tells us about Original Sin...our fall from grace...and what to strive for in our lives. We are perfect in our imperfections. Our soul is perfect. We are spiritual beings having a human experience. Everything in our lives is about a return to this state of perfection. We were given help along the way through Christ's teachings, for example.
The world serves as a spiritual school for enlightenment. We are not here against our wills...we are participation in Creation. We may not always see the purpose to it...but someday...it will make sense to us. When you are on the right path; you will derive your most happiness from it...and a sense of peace. This provides our incentive to "do better"...to feel connected to something greater than ourselves. We are all interconnected and are a part of the "Whole". One day...the parts will all come together...in Perfection.

It was not a sin..or at least I don't think of it as a sin. G-d made our souls 110% perfect! In His image because he has no physical body.
We are blessed by Him through his great love for us.
Our bodies are amazing and so complex, how can out inner organs fit inside on out small body cavities...it's just amazing.
The Adam and Eve story is not to be taken literally. Think about how horrible life would be in the garden of Eden. Boring, no challenge no real happiness.
We humans NEED the challenge of this world to truly achieve what we want, it was not a curse but a beginning of something good.

Good try, bad logic.
Adam isn't God, he's a creation of God.
God is "The Almighty". That means he RULES OVER ALL. Adam was not equal to God, God is greater than Adam.
The order God created is where God is the greatest, Adam was in subjection to God, Eve was in subjection to Adam, the earth and animals were in subjection to Adam and Eve.
Adam had one command to obey from their Creator. Don't eat the fruit from that one tree over there, see it? Don't eat it, if you do you'll die, you don't want to die, do you? Death is a bad thing, Adam, you got the message? Are we clear on this? Ok, go out and play now.
We all know the story, and the order God established disintegrated into what we see around us today. BUT!!!
God so loved (past tense) the kosmos (order he created), that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

the only thing that i can say is that we are all perfect in the sight of god. and the one thing that would make us sin is freewill which god gave unto us we can chose to sin or not to but as you can see we are all tempted by the devil just like Adam and Eve was and most of us used or free will that god gave to us and give into the devil and then sin which make us imperfect

God did create man in his own image, But God also gave us free will. Because he wanted fellowship with us of our own free will. it was the choice of doing sin that made us in perfect, That is why he had to suffer, died and resurrect to life again so that he could perfect us by his Holy Spirit.

Adam and Eve were created in His image I don't believe the Bible says anything about them being perfect, just without sin. Were all made in His image. We each have something different of His qualities but never in entirety. He made it that way so we would need each other and need to fellowship with each other.Blessings VIJ

God gave them perfect bodies. Ana above all he gave them the ability to know right from wrong. They choose to turn away from God. They were cast out of the garden and had no help from God .... This is how we all became imperfect.
