Well it is illegal...

In the Mormon Fundamentalist Church it is suggested you have more than one wife. They are called polygamists if you didn't know. I suppose if you are a part of this church then you aren't forbidden (while it is still illegal). They mostly reside in Utah and Colorado.

But not all polygamists follow that church. Usually polygamy is a religious life choice but it doesn't have to be. Most people find the practice wrong and immoral. Polygamists have also been deemed the bad reputation for forcing young girls to marry and have kids with blood family or men 10 or more years older than themselves. There is also a reputation of sexual abuse, incest and physical abuse by polygamists husbands.

Hope that helped.

It is illegal in North America and other places I'm not sure. If you're talking about spiritually marrying someone a legal paper isn't needed so no. That's called having multiple loves. You can if you and the other person believe that you should be able to date other people while being in a committed relationship. Basically saying depends on religion and beliefs.

Forbidden? Yea, here in America it is forbidden and illegal. Alot of it Depends on where you live and your religious beliefs. Whereas the marriage is considered illegal in America, therefore unacknowledged, it would not be in other countries.

In the United States? Yes. There are religious sects in Utah that will permit and advocate it. Radical Mormons do it but it's still not legal as far as the state is concerned.

Marrying one is foolish. Marrying two is ridiculous. Marrying three is just plain stupid.
