We have a small missions chuirch of 30 people and it is a good church and like every church it has its problems.
What are ways to outreach to the community and what are godly ways to help this church grow.
We have a unique ministry where most people are handicapped.
We have recovered alcholics and single moms that come to our church.
There is also a lot of love in our church and unity and people don't go out of thier way to gossip.
I would like to see this church go forward in God and make a difference in this community.

It sounds like you have a very lovely church. The best ways to reach a community is to contact your area homeless shelters. I work with a group of nurses that help maintain health care in these facilities. We work at family shelters, but there is much need in the men's recovery shelters. They always need help, from blanket drives to even help cooking,( I made scrambled eggs one Sunday morning for 200 guys- me and a hairnet!). Reaching out to folks in need is the best place to start.

I think that your church sounds good, you don't want any and everyone joining because it could cause problems. The only thing I can think of is that the Bible says there will be a great falling away from the Church's in the last days so we're just in the last days so love one another and if it's necessary God will send more people....

The two main things that we are to do is Evangelism and Edification. You need to have BOTH in order to grow. Solid bible teaching and outreach go hand in hand. Live such lives that others will be drawn to Christ. In that way others will come to know the Lord.

I highly recommend this book called "Conspiracies of Kindness" by Steve Sorgern. Not really sure how to spell his last name, but it is a wonderful book with lots of great ideas into showing God's love in a practical way.

Let God grow the church. Jesus said "on this rock will I build my church..." Jesus wants to build the church. When man interferes and plans the church, the church will be man's church not God's church.

if you want to grow and flourish in god then teach the bible without twists or spins on it. stick to the teachings of jesus, and operate your church on the principles that jesus set up for it. "he who searches for the truth will surely find it". study your bible and stick to what it says at all costs.
