No, not becasue I think that the person may not be safe or able to take care of my children but because I dont like the way alternative lifestyles have been normalized in society. A child care provider makes a deep impression on your child. They are often like a third parent . I will have these discussions with my children when they are a little bit older.

yes, there's no difference in the way a lesbian cares for a child, over a straight women. As long as she's qualified and you feel comfortable with her, that's all that matters.
In fact, down the road this may be a good lesson for your child in the equality between all people, regardless of sexual orientation.
When your child one day asks you about homosexuality, you can say to him/her "remember so-and-so from daycare? she was a lesbian, but she was a good person and just like you and me."

It seems that thousands of parents let heterosexual women take care of their baby boys, and things work out fine. So what would be the problem with letting a lesbian care for a young girl? Some people wrongly think that all lesbians and gays are child molesters. Such people might also think that all black people are thieves, that all people in wheelchairs are mentally deficient, and that all North Americans are materialistic boobies. The best thing to do is to move beyond the scare-tactic stereotypes, and evaluate people on their specific merits.

Yes I would send my child to that daycare as long has she takes great care of the kids, and she is qualified to do so. Why would this even be a issue??

sure, why not?
A lesbian is a woman that sexually attracted to other women. That has no bearing on whether or not they are capable of taking care of children. Some of the best day care providers in the world are lesbians.
If you are worried about the safetly of your child then what you need to watch out for would be a pedophile...which is an adult that is sexually attracted to children.

I would as long as I knew that the person operating the day care were not passing their sexual preference to the other children. Talk to the daycare owner(s) and make sure they fully understand your position.

Do you know for sure that she is a lesbian or is it just rumor? No matter, it is how you feel. If she is a compassionate person and there have been no complaints against her or her establishment, then why not. Check in to it and find out how long she has been open, and talk to other parents who children go there and that shouldd help you with your decision.

Yes. I do not see where there personal lifestyle would have anything to do with their ability to care for children. Just because a person is a lesbian does not mean they are a pedophile.

Yes, the quality of childcare or the ability to provide childcare and run a reputable establishment has nothing to with a person's sexual identity or preference.
It is discriminatory at best to say otherwise.

Someone's sexuality has nothing to do with whether or not they're qualified to be employed or run a daycare. What matters is their qualifications and references...not whether they play for the home team or not.
So the answer is yes....
