Yes because people would still have the need to explain that wich we cannot, like our origins, the universe and so on.

maybe. when this happens, I guess we will find out. but, I do think that religions have a higher purpose than love. I agree that all we need is love. I think that religion brings us the hope that there is life after death and that this is not the only life that there is. So, I guess that I would have to say that religion would still be needed even if we all loved each other equally to ourselves.

**Would we need religion if we loved all people as we love ourselves?
Some types of religious love leaves a lot to be desired.
Love is usually defined by who is on the other end, and
what they are doing..
In a perfect world, i would vote yes

not sure I know what religion is..can anyone define the word?
faith I understand to be an innate wisdom in all creation that is part of life wishes or drives, not so much for eternity as ones own life at all cost -but comfort, creature comforts, a reason to live.
olive trees don't grow in the arctic we can relate and we don't have all the answers to why anyone would expect them to, a kind of abiding trust that God as indwelling can help us to make some sense of these gatherings and hope that as birds of a feather flocking together we will all find our home and companionship there.

Yes, because there is more than just loving each other. We need continued spiritual learning to keep us on the straight and narrow. The Bible teaches us many things besides loving. Most important it teaches Jesus died on the cross for our sins. If we truely believe this we are saved and will go to heaven, no matter what. So there is more than love to religion. There has to be faith (believing without seeing)

Religion is a set group of actions in response to faith. I don't think we'd need that if we loved one another. Jesus said love God, love your neighbor and before you know it Heaven will arrive. We should probably love other people better than we love ourselves. God loves us all.

No.
It is religion which teaches us to love all people as ourselves, at least if we are Christian, that is what our religion teaches us.
If human beings were made that perfectly, to love one another that much, we would be gods, not people. And religion would not be necessary.
Religion is that which teaches us to improve our souls, so that we may attain that perfect love which is of God.

noone needs religion. religion is a title placed on peoples different beliefs. but if we all had the love that god asks us to strive for then we really would not need "religion". God is love. and without him love would not exist.

Yes. With religion we have hope, faith. Something to look for the future. Without religion, we just die and get put into a box and buried. Not me, not my future, I'm gonna spend my future in Heaven with Jesus.

We don't need religion now. But we do need to accept Christ if we are interested in spending eternity in Heaven. And when you accept Christ you will find it easier to love all people. If you haven't done so yet, I encourage you, too. It's the best decision you will ever make in your life.
