Yes; they just want a better way of life. I believe that if we were in their shoes; we would be doing exactly the same.

It is still illegal. I understand that the situation in Mexico is not all that great. However, that does not mean that its open season on U.S. borders. We cannot take on people at that rate and expect to be able to keep all the government programs running. We can't afford it. The process should be difficult to get into this country. That way those who really want to come here, are willing to see the process through to the end. The law is the law and that's that. It can be changed but there is a process and having ten million illegals who you are going to give amnesty to every 10 or 20 years only invokes the same to happen time and again. I have no problem what-so-ever with legal immigration. But the law is the law for a reason and we need to start adhering to it and executing it. I'm not by any means saying that all illegals are bad or stupid or anything.

Why is it so hard to understand? You CANNOT have a "free flow" of people to come into this country? Why? Because if you don't control the flow that enters the country, then overpopulation will happen, and the economy will suffer, as will all the people - current US citizens AND the people entering the country. With overpopulation comes poor living conditions, higher crime, and the spread of disease will be phenominal. The government HAS to set the perameters. In setting them, they have to decide who will be allowed to enter, and who will not.
Everyone argues that there are money requirements. Of course there are - not to discriminate against the poor, but to make sure that the people coming into the country have the means to support themselves and their family. If we allow people just to come in, and they have no money or skill. . . Well, there are only so many agricultural and factory jobs that require low skill. Too many wanting those jobs will cause problems with who gets them, and the pay will go down - they will hire the person that will work the cheapest. Those jobs that Americans won't do are not endless - there are only so many.
I am sorry for the ones that want to make a better life, and are choosing to try and do that here. They don't respect our laws, and they don't have any money when they come here. How are we supposed to deal with that? By making it easier for more like them to enter? How many homeless families would you like to see on the street as you walk?
People that want to come here need to have a viable skill to offer, and they need to have some money saved so they can get housing and basic needs when they arrive. Just coming over isn't the answer, and coming here with nothing isn't the answer either.

There is a system Amelia.. for a reason. This system allows the country to have control over whose allowed in and whose not.
The process is also valuable because it controls the quantity of people... population matters. Unlike 3rd world countries, where the govt. cannot support their own people.
The poverty in America will continue to grow rapidly, if we do nothing about it. If we allow amnesty to be given to these people, they will just invite their entire family up-- God knows how many.. and it's just a matter of time before they're out protesting again, for another amnesty.
The people of this country-- that is, the legal citizens cannot continue supporting this low-income percentage of illegals. It is such a burden, that if the United States were to keep allowing more and more in, the government would go bankrupt..
The people that rely on these federal programs would be devestated even more than now. They would receive NO money, because NONE would be available.
The reason why you are seeing this, "hate" is because they have disrespected this country so-- even if you were to take out the fact they came here illegally, they are still coming here and having babies left and right...
The 'anchor baby' route is what gets these illegals free government care, because their child, is "deemed" a citizen for being born on U.S. soil..
However-- that is going to be taken care of, because they do not fall under "the subject of jurisdiction thereof."
Only legal citizens can give birth to citizens... So, the "coming here to have my baby in the U.S. even though I'm a Chinese or Mexican, or Irish citizen" does not allow that baby to be automatically a citizen of the U.S..
Law experts are going over this right now to JUSTIFY WHAT THE Constitution STATES!!
You can't blame us citizens for defending our land. That is not hate, that is showing honor! We have been stomped on, spit on, and USED!! We are currently being USED for our taxes! --Which is then delivered to these illegals that are by the way-- illegal aliens.
That is not showing hate. And like I mentioned, there is a process for a reason. Waiting just so happens to be a step in the process.

Easy Meaning No Immigration Laws??
Easy Meaning Open Borders??
The Only Way They Will Comply With The Law
Is If The Law Stated
"Hop The Fence"
How Easy Do You Want It To Be??
A Simple "Hi, Im Here" ??
The Law Has Requirements
All Requirements Are Being Ignored
And Will Continue To Be Ignored
Until There Is No Law
Or Until The Shooting Starts
The Laws Will Be Obeyed

Yes, in Numbers even greater than we have now. From every country, all over the world! Every body hates us SO MUCH around the world that they all want to get in!
You just can't have that kind of mass migration without negative consequences. As for the Southern border, with so much immigration, and so little willingness to assimilate, the motivations and cultural mindset, that made Mexico into the corrupt polluted place that everyone wants out of would come up here and repeat itself.

We don't have room for legal immigrants because we have too many illegals here. Should they not accept some of the responsibility for the way things are? Staying in their own country might not be optional, but allowing them to come here should be optional for us. Would you happily embrace a large homeless family that was squatting in your garage and laughing at you, telling you their need gives them the right?

DONT YOU THINK IF IT WAS EASY FOR " LEGAL IMMIGRATING APPLICANTS " TO COME ILLEGALLY THEY WOULD ?
You must understand the illegals are hurting those, overseas, who are waiting for their application to get process by legal meanings. There is a matter of visa quota. Every year a certain number of legal applicants are allowed visas to get here. It takes averagely eight to ten years to get here. Those people are those who choose to suffer instead of getting here illegally. those apllicants like you say "it is not like they do not want to be illegal but it is the only way (the legal way) ". Those people do not commit crimes in the eye of the laws, they are the ones that deserve a reward for their patience and suffering.

don't you think if it was easy for a high school drop out, repeat offender criminal to get a job he would? it's not that they want to commit crime, it's just the only way they can live. abiding by the law is just not an option. people don't have to show such hatred against them......
what a dufus

I like the way every illegal claims they just come here to feed it's family back home by doing hard work no US citizen will do,then why is it that thousands are on the welfare payroll,in prisons for breaking the law and going to hospitals for just a headache, the truth is that illegals are no more hard workers than US workers,in fact once here they try to apply for welfare and do not have to work for the rest of their lives, illegals can fool politicians with their crying, but they do not fool the rest of the country

They do not understand all the steps that are involved in getting any type of legal status. For, Mexicans they can wait for years and years and never even get a visa. They do not want to do things that are bad but it really is the only way for alot of them. They approve people who want to do actual harm to to our country while others pay the dues, and still do not have an answer to their petition. No one understands the process, they just like to come up with any reason to find some justification in their mind for their hatred. It is easier to place the blame on something you know nothing about than something you fully comprehend.
