Go to a hospital and let them make some blood testing. It's very important that you tell the doctors everything you know about this thing. Rat excrements can contain many different viruses and bacteria that could cause serious damage to a human's health.
There is no possibility to cure it at home.

Are they Rat droppings or Mouse droppings? Mouse droppings are known to carry the Hanta Virus. It can be deadly. It will cause symptoms simular to the Flu.
I recommend she be taken to the Doctor and have blood test for this possibility.
