I am sending out thank you cards for all that came and got me something for my baby shower, but I want to send out a special gift to those who gave me the shower, the ones who did all the hard work and made it such a big event. I want it to be special and thoughtful.

It depends on how many people helped because it could get pricey. How about a small gift basket for each? Go to the dollar store or something and get some cheap baskets and put in a candle, some small packets of special tea or coffee, a $10 gift certificate to Target or something, and a thank you card and that should be good. Hope I could help. Congrats on the baby :)

Two of my friends hosted my baby shower back in June. Aside from thank you cards, I made each of them a candle/centerpiece. What I did was find a container I liked (ie: a candle jar, glass, vase, etc) and something to put in it... Pretty river stones for one, and clear & blue crystal-type rocks for the other. Then I found a matching candle and placed in the center. All these items can be found pretty cheap in a hobby shop, Walmart, Dollar store, etc... I personalized the wrapping for each of them... They both appreciated it greatly.

It doesn't have to be expensive, but a little thank you is always nice. Perhaps a coffee mug w/ a treat inside or one of those mason jars w/ a cookie mix. There are a lot of websites that will show you how to make your own cookie/cake/brownie mix jars and other nifty things.

The most important thing would be a hand-written heartfelt thank you note and attach a small gift like a gift card to a spa or restaraunt.

restaurant or spa gift certificate, even if it's not for a whole session, just partial would be nice too. A basket of candles or bath products.

Get them a gift certificate to a local spa.

Well if you have a big enough budget why not a little crystal or a fake crystal decoration piece with each thank you card!

Once your baby is born, frame the baby's first picture in a cute frame.
