obviously they are disillusioned with Christianity.
a large portion of the writers are of another religion, and some of the others just want to fit in and do not have the courage to stand up for what they truly believe.

There will always be "wars" waged between religions because each believe that they are the "only way" - to where ever.

If a show bothers you, contact the producer of the show or the contact the sponsors (advertisers) and let them know how you feel. Talking on this forum will go nowhere. This is like little soapboxes that are heard for a few minutes, then disappear.

The world has always been at war with Christianity because it lacks power, politics and wealth (in it's purest, Christ-like form) on planet earth. There will always be those who exploit Christianity for their own selfish wants.

Pray for the Truth of Christ's Message to get out. These programs and publicity of lies about Christ soon dissipate and are forgotten. In the End of Times, the Truth will be known by all. Just keep the Faith and Pray unceasingly!

Some Muslims will stop at nothing to refute Christianity. They will forge documents, (Gospel of Barnabas) make false claims (like Neil Armstrong heard Muslims voices on the moon and converted to Islam) and ask all kinds of "questions" which are really just statements in disguise. They want to remove the Christ from Christianity and redefine Jesus in purely Gnostic terms. Once they succeed in drawing a Christian away from Jesus, they introduce their own doctrines and beliefs. This is how they convert people. They are taught that they will be given great rewards in Paradise for their evangelical behavior. Christians can be quite evangelical too, but I've never seen a Christian persuade someone by refuting other religions.

You are exactly right. If ANYONE made a TV documentary that cast a shadow of doubt about Islam being "the one true religion", you could be sure that death threats, violence, arson, property damage, and the like would ensue immediately. Sorry if this offends anyone, but it's a fact.

Peace!

I find it hilarious when you get people saying our religion is real, it's everybody elses that's fake. They have had programmes on islam, quite a few in fact getting muslims to talk about their faith and the koran, in order to explore why the extremists try and use the muslim faith to kill others. I thought the answer about no extremist christians getting together to kill people of other religions was funny too........... what about george dubya?? biggest example of an extreme christian killing anyone that god tells him to!!! But hey thats not really about religion thats more of an oil and gas thing.... ooh I can hear the secret service at my door. Christianity as we know it came from the teachings of Paul as he was the one that brought Jesus's teachings to the non jews. Even after the fact that jesus specifically told the disciples not to take his teachings to the gentiles ie. non-jews, So already we see a falsity in the way christianity was developed. Also the Nag Hammadi texts (dead sea scrolls) give a different story of jesus and his teachings and they were written when he was alive, unlike the new testament that was written after he died. Instead of seeing the differences why can't we just work on the similarities and find balance. Lets stick the fanatics of all religions in a big ring and let them scrap it out. Air it live on sky pay per view and give the profits to charity?

Look I get what you're saying but you should remain with some respect because I find it very hard to acknowledge your point with it. There is one thing you have to believe in and that's God, because most religious people believe in a God! They then believe in their own saviors. Whether they are Christian,Muslim, Hindu,Jewish & I do believe this scientology stuff is complete and utter **** but you have to contain yourself and keep your grace, listen to people's points and come back with an argument even stronger if you don't believe in what they say. Instead of complaining on here why don't you call BBC? I'm not being sarcastic either I'm sure they'd have complaints over the show anyway! I'm sure they'd like the views from your point of view.

And your point is quite true! It would be WWIII. But what IS wrong with wishful thinking? We know its not true but there is NOTHING wrong with wishful thinking, it shows hope believing in something gets you somewhere, this faith keeps you a good person, if you die and it's not true you were a good person! Religions are good whether they are true or not as long as they keep you a good person and the morals are right then there is nothing wrong in believing....whether it is true or not!

Hinduism is O.K as well, they are quite sweet people beliving in mind, body & soul. They are still presenting kind hearted people so I'm fine with it. Just think of dinosaurs if they were possible then alot more is and if there's a higher being we believe in then there could have been half elephants and monkey's on Earth before us...they believe in them the same reason we believe in Jesus & God whom the same...we have not seen...because their holy book says...give other people breaks! Keep your thoughts on other religions to yourself! And focus on your rant....attacking other things because you feel angered/weakened by something is never the way to be!

I think it's all down to the DaVinci code anyway tbh the speculation over the religion...if their is any weakness in whether a part of the religion is true or not the whole thing starts to weaken. You just have to keep your faith and get by...turn it off. I mean if you wasn't Christian and you saw preachers preaching the word of God every day, you'd have to get by! But you be annoyed by someone saying "Christianity is the only true religion" even though you believe that...from their view they'd be pissed BUT they get by! They ignore it.

So I'd suggest you just ignore it or call the BBC because they are the only two options for getting on with the matter.

CSV Action Desk; BBC Swindon switchboard - 01793 513626
0207 5804468 - Main switchboard; ask for dept. required
These numbers are from http://www.saynoto0870.com so they wont cost you much...you can voice your opinion properly, but still contain yourself and everything I say is not intended to be horrible...that's just not me!

I am speaking genuinely I just feel saying stuff like "and it's a bloody muslim presenting the programme" is kind of voicing you not liking people of that religion so your question/rant will be overlooked by some people. Scientology though...seriously...we'll never know! It's probably a religion some Author made up and thought it'd be great to suck people in...sadly it'll catch on because famous people think it's great! Stay Blessed & Stay Faithful

See this is why I hate to bring up religion. Every religion in this world is FLAWED! Every religion in this world has its share of problems and disagreements. I wonder why there is ever religion at all sometimes. I know that I am Catholic and that I believe in God and Jesus, but when I go to church, I go because it is my culture and where my friends and family are. If they were not Catholic, I probably would not be either. I love my friends and family and religion is keeping close to them. I have read the Bible on many occasions. Many times I do not get it and I do not understand why people take it so seriously. It was written by White men over 800 years ago, and I wonder if they even knew what they were talking about back then. Today's world is so much different from back then. We have science and more free thought now a days. Why should we be stuck in the past?

you guys are so judgmental when it comes to Islam i am not a Muslim but i am sure the quran doesn't teach them to kill nor hate neither does the bible or gita. the time that you take to criticize Hinduism and Islam you should go educate your self on Christianity. Hinduism the more a way of life its not violent.
Christianity was force upon Africans after they were migrated as slaves to the Caribbean and other parts of the world were as Islam and Hinduism were there from the inception.
secondly you sit and say Muslims are fighting cause of religion what are you doing here bickering like a fool. u shouldd put that energy into something more worthy . and stop hating its not good we all should Be allowed to believe in what religion we want that's freedom.

Amen to that, sister! How about a TV programme, looking at Mohammed? What might we learn?
1} He was a killer.
2} He was a slaver.
3} He was a misogynist.

And don't get me started on Scientology! Have a look for "Xenu" on the net to find out top secrets which would usually set you back thousands!

Because it is a fake religion, like all religions including Islam and Hinduism (the one with monkeys and half elephants). It's bloody good that a muslim presents christianity as a fake religion!!!!

All religions are fake and man-made. That is that.

You are acting just like that person by bringing other religions into the picture. If you have a problem with Islam you should be raving and ranting against Islam. Right now Islamic extremists view the West as their enemy and so they are bashing Christianity.

2006-08-14 12:15:28 · answer #10 · answered by Anonymous · 1 1

The real reason for this is that Christianity has become in many places little more than just another of many cults and religions. All religion is man made. None of it is of God.

God is in to being a father with his family. This is the truth of Christianity. Christ in (Christian) means to have the seed of the father which is Christ in you which is to have the gift of holy spirit in you.

Then you are a child of God and part of the family.
