About 8 years ago I was the manager of a drug store. Our rx techs made aprox. $8 to 10 an hour depending on their level of experience. It apparently hasn't changed much over the years in looking it up online.... http://www.degreesource.com/article/article_228.shtml
Their job description is basically to help assist the lead pharmacist in filling scripts and keeping records of what medications are needed when ordering and ringing up the purchases. It really all will depend on which drug store you work for as to what your duties will be.
It is a good job, not that hard to do and always a learning experience and the people you encounter are "different" but you still are working under the guidance of a pharmacist.
Good luck in your adventures in life and may God bless you.
