Congratulations! My daughter got married in May, and I want a grandbaby so badly, but the couple is still in college. So, I got a grandpuppy instead. lol......... I am going to called either Grammie or Granddie. My son-in-law's Mother is Nanna. My daughter says I have plently of time to decide, because they want to finish up with school first. But I do have to say, that I have all ready made the baby a girl's blanket and a boy's blanket. And I have bought some really cute things...I know I am pushing, but ....I want a granddaughter! I will of course, take a grandson if that's what the good Lord sends us. Congratulations! Enjoy and give the new arrival a kiss from either Forrest(puppy)'s Granndie or Grammie......
God bless us all...........

I personally don't like it when grandparents or aunts/uncles tell children what to call them. The best names are the names that your grandchildren name you themselves. My nieces and nephew called my father Poppy. Nobody ever came up with that name, and goodness knows where they heard it, but there you have it he was known as Poppy until his passing.Let the kids name you, they are bound to call you something funny at some point, and you can pick up on it and I'll bet ya it will stick. By the way, there is nothing wrong with Grandma, you just wait until they look up at you with that special love that only a Grandma could appreciate, and I'll bet you won't care one little bit.
