What do I do now? I need documents 5 years old or older but I never kept papers laying around for that long. If I'd have done something wrong they'd know exactly who I am and where to get me...bastards! Bush and his ******* war probably made it more difficult to get a goddamn passport!

Sorry but the first place the NSA goes to check you out is here to see if you've posted and subversive comments and then they check to see if you have a my space page. This is what happens when the government is allowed without warrents to spy on you without gaining a warrant... really it is a sign of the times to come where security gets tighter... but it still should be done with oversite.

Nice rant, but inaccurate. It has always been the responsibility of the passport applicant to prove both citizenship and identity. You might be surprised at the number of people in the US who genuinely believe they are citizens, but aren't. You might be surprised to learn that middle-aged white men are the largest group committing US passport fraud.

And if you really don't have anything that's more than five years old - mortgage, lease, car title, work contract, tax return, library card, union card, fishing license, deer tag - I think the passport agent made a very good call.
