Put those items either in a plastic bag and seal it for 2 weeks to a month. Others you can put in the dryer for 30-40 minutes. Most articles that I've read about lice says a dog cannot carry lice but I have read where people claim that a dog was bringing them lice so who knows?

Make sure you follow up as most lice are now resistant to the meds. You have to get all the nits too. This is especially important with girls and long hair.

If you have a boy cut thier hair really short, then treat, and then use one of those baby combs or ones that come with the NIX. Most herbal lice products don't work at all so don't waste your time. Get rid of them once and for all and do a really thorough job.

Tie everything in garbage bags for 2 weeks minimum and vacuum everything.

Dogs can't get lice. They prefer humans.

as a home day care provider, i have seen my share of those nasty little critters. if you cannot wash it or spray it, it has to be in a air tight plastic bag for about 2 weeks. i think the site is wwwheadlice.org wishing you luck. and no, a dog cannot get lice

throw it all away...it takes forever to get them out of the house. They live on blood, so yes I think dogs can get lice, just as a human can be bitten by fleas.

your suposed to wash all bedding in hot wash cycle. Bag all the stuffed animals in garbage bags for 2 weeks. and you buy lice bedding spray for all the unwashable things like the bed matress and couch anywhere the child lays or hair touches.
