To do a full out split, first you need to stretch. Secondly, get into a form of a split and relax your legs and muscles. Lift your upper body up to where it is strait and let your arms dangle to the sides. Point your toes and let gravity take you down. You must be relaxed. Breath in and out

I don't think it's possible to do a full staddle split without having the genetic ability to do so. For instance, I do so much yoga that I can wrap both legs around my neck and do full side splits in either direction, but I can't do a straddle no matter how hard I condition.

do the splits the easy way, on leg infront and the other behind. Before you start, stretch your groin muscles so they are loose and flexible. Then each day you should do this and keep trying to go lower and lower than eventually you should get it.

You work up to it. ( Are you doing dance? ) Even after you can, you should warm up. You could pull or tear something really badly. So be careful. It also has to do with muscle control.
