I am of the understanding that fantasizing is healthy regardless of how wild, outlandish, or dirty it may be. But, is there a point when fantasizing about a past hook up becomes unhealthy, too much, or is just happening too often? At what point is it considered a fatal attraction, does it even exist?

I agree that fantasies are a good thing. But I would say it becomes problematic when it keeps you from moving on and hooking up with new people. I guess the question is, are you fantasizing about past hook ups or remembering them all the time. Fantasizing is ok, but if you're constantly remembering or re-living an event and you can't enjoy life anymore or having fun with other people then something's wrong. It's more difficult to say when it's too much. I guess it's too often/too much if it gets in the way of other activities, if you can't concentrate on an activity or if it keeps you from working on something. Other than that it's all good I think.

I don't think any kind of fantasizing could really be unhealthy. Unless those fantasies become reality and you're fantasising about killing someone or something else really awful. If this fantasy is distracting you from your normal life, then it might be a problem. But other than that, you should be fine

If this "hookup" is now unattainable, you may wish to take this fantasy you've been having and apply it to someone else where it may become more of a reality, or you might end up really lonely.

Fatal attraction means you die from it. You don't seem to qualify. I'd worry about it when it interferes with your work and family functions in life.
